Best Seats for Kids and Family
For those looking to bring the family to a Mets game at Citi Field, you're going to want to stay close to the great activities at the center field fan fest - especially if you have little ones. The Fan Fest has a number of fun options, including a whiffle ball field, batting cages, and even a dunk tank! Seats in the upper rows (7 and higher) of sections 134-139 are a great spot to keep you nearby, and also provide some good protection from the sun thanks to overhanging seating deck above. Unfortunately views of the videoboard are almost nonexistent, however one additional benefit to seats here is the prime position for pre-game batting practice and a chance at bringing home a home run ball souvenir.
Also close to the center field fun are the 300 level outfield seats just beyond the left field wall. Rows 6 and higher get excellent overhead protection in sections 334-338, but be sure to avoid section 339 as there is no coverage at all. A family restroom can be found nearby (above section 339), and the great part about seats here for the family is the smaller, less intimidating feel. The concourse just above the last row feels like a private area just for these sections, making for quicker and easier trips to and from the restrooms and concessions, as well as less crowds to contend with.
Another good option for families at Citi Field are the Coca Cola Corner seats (sections 301-305) behind the right field wall. An important note of caution is that these seats will get a lot of sun during day games, so if you're looking for shade you would be better off going with a different option. But the pluses here include close access to the Coca-Cola Landing, which is a unique backyard themed open area featuring corn hole games and a batting simulator. Since you enter these sections from the top, we recommend sticking with rows 12 and higher to avoid having to walk more than 5 rows down to reach your seats. A bonus for the little ones is the Mister Softee ice cream stand located just above section 301.
Great protection from the weather under an overhang

Best Seats for Impressing a Guest
The Hyundai Club is the place to be if you're looking to leave a lasting impression of Citi Field. Located on a private deck behind home plate (sections 115-120) fans here get an excellent scout style view of the game, while being treated to some of the finest amenities the ballpark has to offer. Enjoy all-inclusive food which features traditional upscale entrees, daily rotating Chef's tables, slider and nacho stations, ice cream, and more. Non-alcoholic beverages are also included in the price of your ticket, while a full bar is available for purchasing adult beverages. If you prefer not to miss a minute of the action from your plush padded seat, be sure to take advantage of the in-seat wait service.
Another great option which will never disappoint at a Mets game are the Delta Gold and Delta Platinum seats (rows 1-8 in sections 11-19), which have amazing views from right behind home plate. Its a great spot to make it into the background of a TV broadcast, but even better for being able to visit the multitude of premium club lounges at Citi Field. You'll have access to all but one of the ballpark's 6 premium areas, including the ultra exclusive Sky360 Lounge - which is only accessible to Delta Gold and Delta Platinum ticket holders. The Sky360 Lounge offers offers complimentary soft drinks, coffee, snacks, and more (not to be confused with the Sky360 Club which has food and beverage items available, but must be purchased).
If you're looking to make an impression on the biggest of Mets fans, we recommend considering the first five rows of sections 113-114. You'll be right by the Mets dugout with incredible views of the players transitioning between innings and awaiting their turn at the plate in the on-deck circle. You'll rarely need to leave the game thanks to the in-seat food and beverage service, but should you want to check out some of the ballpark, you'll have access to the Delta Sky360 Club, Porche Grill, Foxwoods Club, and Promenade Club.
Although not a traditional choice for impressing a guest as they don't have in-seat wait service or super close views, Excelsior Box sections 330-333 along the left field line are worth a look. The 300 tier Excelsior Level has a private concourse for a more intimate feel, but the main reason to sit here is the short walk to the Porche Grill located near the left field corner. Treat yourselves to an upscale meal inside this fine dining restaurant and bar while still having a view of the game (making reservations in advance is recommended), and also check out the views of the NYC skyline and World's Fair Marina.

Best Seats for Visiting Team Fans
If you're supporting the visitors on a trip to Citi Field, some of our favorite options are located in the lowest rows of sections 125, 126, and 128 which extend impressively close to the field. Score a ticket in rows A-E and you even give yourself a chance to see into the nearby visiting team dugout while having a memorable spot from which you can enjoy the game. The natural seating angle is a bit awkward as you're pointed towards the right field foul pole rather than the middle of the diamond, but the larger head turn to the right is worth it for a great view of the visitors moving around the bench.
Sticking with the dugout theme, its tough to go wrong with a seat behind the visitors dugout which you can find in sections 121-123. The best of the best here comes in section 121 as you get the additional bonus of impressive views to the visitors on-deck circle. Opt for seats in rows 1-10 to stay closer to the field, but be prepared for a good amount of sun on day games.
A portion of the experience when visiting a new ballpark is getting to tour all the unique areas it has to offer. Seats just beyond the right field wall (sections 101-103) give away team fans a good jumping off point for exploring the noteworthy spots at Citi Field, and are also nicely covered to keep you out of the weather while at your ticketed seats. The Shea Bridge is just a stones throw away, while the fan fest area and bullpen plaza (featuring views into the team bullpens) are within a short walk located behind center field. Walk up a level from the seats and you'll be right by the Coca Cola Landing, which has a backyard theme and multiple cornhole games set up.
For the visiting fan working with a smaller budget, we recommend considering seats near the middle of sections 505-508. Opt for rows 4-10 to avoid the railings impacting your views of the field (found in the closer seats), while also not getting to high up in this upper seating deck. The main takeaways here are the sight lines to Flushing Bay in the backdrop of center field, and being able to watch the airplanes soaring above the field following their takeoff from LaGuardia.
Unique views of Flushing Bay and airplanes taking off at LaGuardia
More affordable tickets on the upper seating deck
Good sight lines into the visiting team dugout
Best Seats for Great Views of the Field
Citi Field has many unique seating areas to choose from for a Mets baseball game, however you will typically find the best views of the field in the sections which keep you closer to the infield. Other than the uppermost 500 and the seats beyond the outfield wall, fans can find good views of a ballgame from a variety of areas at the ballpark.
Among the best options, but also some of the most expensive, are the premium Delta Club seats directly behind home plate. Sit in rows 11-18 of sections 13-17 and you will be amazed by the proximity to home plate and the on deck circles, while also having a one of a kind view of the ball as it leaves the pitchers hand. One of the great perks about sitting here is the in-seat wait service, allowing you to stay in your seat watching baseball rather than making trips to the concourse for food and beverage.
Further down the baselines and closer to the dugouts, rows 23 and up in sections 111-113 and 122-124 are some of our favorite seats for staying dialed in to the action at Citi Field. Aside from the more obvious benefits of great viewing angles to the middle of the infield and good proximity to the dugouts, these seating rows have an excellent elevation angle over fans in front. Sure, the lower rows get you closer to the field, however the seating is much shallower creating more potential for other fans in front to obstruct your view. You'll find more shade on the third base side (sections 122-124), and just be sure to avoid sections 114 and 121 as there are walls on the home plate side of the sections, creating a narrower viewing angle.
Also known as the Excelsior Level, the 300 tier offers fans an excellent perspective thanks to an ideal seating height above field level. Some of the best options on the Excelsior level are directly behind home plate in sections 318-320, where you will have expansive views to all areas of the field. These seats also get an excellent straight away perspective of the center field videoboard, and the smaller seating sections (no more than 6 rows) allow for speedy trips to the concourse and back to your seat.
Closer to the dugouts on the Excelsior level, sections 310-312 and 326-328 have the same great elevation and provide natural lines of sight to the heart of the infield. If sitting on the first base side (310-312), we recommend being in the higher rows (7-10) as this will give you better overhead coverage from the sun during a day game. On the third base side you get the sun at your back sooner, so it's a little safer to sit lower on the tier (opt for rows 2-10). Although, from these two areas we recommend avoiding the first row due to the safety railing, and the very back rows which start to get tunnel vision from the overhanging upper deck above.
If the budget leaves you searching on the upper seating deck, we recommend sticking with the 400 level seats as these sit much closer to the field and have less railings to battle with for a clear view of the field. The upper deck is very exposed with little protection from the sun, so you will want to put the sun at your back sooner (on the third base side) during a day game at Citi Field. Sections 421-423 are the best options here, thanks to excellent positioning with the middle of the infield. We recommend avoiding the front row here as the railing can be a distraction while trying to watch the ballgame.
