Upper Reserved

- The highest seating tier at Wrigley Field are the Upper Reserved sections which includes all 400 sections labeled 403-431. Each section is made up of nine steep rows that sit above the Upper Boxes on the 300 level. Sections are split up into two main groupings.  The Upper Reserved Infield is sections 409-426. Like the name suggests, seats here will have elevated views over the infield. While not the most desirable seats in the stadium, they are more desirable than the other group of seats called the Upper Reserved Outfield in sections 403-408 and 427-431.  Important Seating Information All Upper Reserved sections have poles that create obstructed views for fans in these seats. Obstructions vary by seat, but when purchasing tickets in these seats it should be assumed that a pole will be blocking some area on the field.  The only unobstructed row is Row 1, but these seats are just above the upper level's walkway where fans passing by can be a distraction. The good thing about the poles is they support the roof overhead which provides outstanding shade and cover to keep fans protected. The "L" and "R" designate the side of the field the section is located on. Fans should go up the ramps on the designated side of the field for easier access to their seats.

Cool Views of the Neighborhood and the Lake Who knew you could see Lake Michigan from the 500 Level at Wrigley Field? These seats give you a view of the lake and of the neighborhood around Wrigley. It was cool watching balls fly onto the street during batting practice and watching people scatter after them.

Views of the action on the field were not so great. I only sat here for a few minutes before the game started, but the seats were really, really cold and windy and this was the nicest day we've had in Chicago in six months.

You can see the iconic scoreboard, most of the outfield and part of the infield. But if you're afraid of heights, you're right along a chain link fence separating you and 100 feet to the ground. But if there's a threat of rain, grab seats in a lower row in the 500 level and you're sure to stay dry!

Steps are steep! This is the last section in the upper deck so we weren't expecting much, but these steps we're steep! It is probably close to two feet between each row. There's not a ton of rows but climbing all the way up to row 8 was a lot of work! Still love Wrigley Field and enjoyed the game from up here regardless of the pole.

Seating and Ticket Q&A

Recommended inexpensive seats for first time Wrigley attendees?

Verified by an RYS expert

The cheapest seats at Wrigley Field will always be found in the upper deck (300 and 400 level) and the back rows of the 200 sections. The upper deck was renovated before the 2019 season bringing more restroom and food options for fans sitting in these seats. Sections 303-331 will be free of obstructions and have a great view overlooking the field and taking in the entire Wrigley atmosphere. Moving up to the 400 level, there are poles that come in at the first row in most sections. To guarantee an unobstructed view, we suggest only looking in the front row of these sections. The bleachers are one of the most unique places to sit in all of baseball and can be on the cheaper side, but are not for everyone due to the fact there are no seat backs and it is first come first served.
