    Don't sit in Row A!

    Aug 2014

    Baseball Review
    Section 413, Row A, Seat 2

The railing is just brutal! Don't sit in Row A even if they're free! And if you have Row A seats, don't try giving them away -- someone might sue you for the back problems they're sure to get here. You've got about a ten inch window to see between the railings. In order to get that view, you have to hunch down and learn forward. But be careful -- as soon as a ball is hit and you start tracking it, you have to re-adjust your view through the "window". There's nothing really more to say about these seats other than to be careful walking down the stairs. While it's only ten rows down to Row A, it's about 20 stairs of mis-matching heights just waiting for you to stumble. Do yourself a huge favor and avoid the lower rows of the 400s altogether. You'll be happy you did.

Location was great! A few foul balls our way! Row D and above would have been better to have the railing out of our line of sight.

    • View Level

      -

Highest Seating Tier: View Level sections are the 400s and 500s, the farthest seats from the field.    Two Seating Levels: 400s are Lower View and 500s are Upper View sections.    Shared Entry Tunnel: The entrance tunnel sits between the two levels, with stairs leading down to 400s and up to 500s.    Budget-Friendly Seats: Often among the cheapest reserved seats in the stadium.    Best Shade in Upper Rows: Upper rows of the 500 Level sit underneath the stadium roof.       Who Should Sit Here  View Level seats are a good option for fans looking for affordable tickets while still having a reserved seat inside Angel Stadium. These sections are popular with fans who want to enjoy the game atmosphere without paying lower-level prices.  View Level Location & Details  The View Level is the highest seating tier at Angel Stadium and includes all sections labeled in the 400s and 500s.  These sections wrap around the stadium from foul pole to foul pole and provide a panoramic perspective of the entire ballpark.  Fans enter this seating level through a shared entrance tunnel, which sits between the two tiers.  From the tunnel:  Fans walk down the stairs to reach the 400 Level (Lower View) seats.    Fans walk up the stairs to reach the 500 Level (Upper View) seats.    400 Level vs. 500 Level  The View Level is split into two distinct seating tiers.  Lower View (400 Level)  Located down the stairs from the entrance tunnel    Row A sits at the front of each section    Roughly 10 rows per section    Views from the front rows are comparable to Luxury Suites located below    Upper View (500 Level)  Located up the stairs from the entrance tunnel    Roughly 20 rows per section    The upper half of the sections (Row L and higher) sits underneath the stadium roof    While the 500 Level is farther from the field, it provides better shade and weather protection than the 400 Level.  Views from the View Level  Because this is the highest level in the stadium, fans will be sitting farther from the action compared to other seating areas.  However, the elevated position provides a wide view of the entire field, which some fans prefer for following defensive positioning and overall game flow.  Seats located behind home plate and near the infield offer the most balanced sightlines.  Shade & Seating Strategy  Shade coverage varies significantly depending on row and section.  The best shaded seats in the View Level are typically found in the upper rows of the 500 Level, particularly Row L and higher, which sit underneath the roof.  However, these seats are also the farthest from the field and require the longest walk up the stairs.  Fans looking to avoid sitting at the very top should consider sections behind home plate and along the infield, which tend to move into the shade earlier than seats located in the outfield.

Although it’s above home plate, there is a post in the center of the seat's view.

      (Section 517) - -

Awful, awful seats. Probably some of the worst I have ever sat in, and I have sat in a lot of different seats in my time. Located directly at the top of the entry tunnel, the safety fencing and guard railing right in front completely obstructs the view. It felt like I was watching the game from b...
