Field/Plaza Outfield
- There are a limited number of options when it comes to Outfield seating at Kauffman Stadium. Because of their location right up against the wall in the power alley, sections 101-103 offer some of the best chances at home run balls. In LF, sections 104-106 are directly behind the visiting team bullpen. In RF, sections 150-152 are behind the Royals bullpen. Directly behind 150-152 are 250-252, which offer a similar experience as the seats right in front of them. Avoid 150-152 and 250-252 during evening games as the sun will be directly in your eyes.
Plaza Level
(2026 Review) -
200-Level Seating: Plaza Level sections are labeled in the 200s and sit directly above the Field Level seats.
Lower Bowl Perspective: Provides a comfortable elevated view while still sitting close to the field.
Row Structure: Each section typically has about 20 rows with Row AA at the front.
Shaded Options: Dugout Plaza sections (216–239) offer some of the best shaded seats.
Wide Price Range: Seats farther down the lines offer more affordable lower-level options.
Who Should Sit Here
Plaza Level seats are a great option for fans looking for lower-level views without the price tag of Field Level seating. The slight elevation makes it easier to follow the entire field, making these seats popular with fans who want good sightlines and relatively close proximity to the action.
Plaza Level Location + Details
The Plaza Level is located directly above the Field Level (100 sections) at Kauffman Stadium.
These sections are labeled in the 200s and wrap around the lower seating bowl from foul pole to foul pole.
Most Plaza Level sections contain around 20 rows of seating, with Row AA located at the front of the section. Because the seating area sits slightly elevated above the field-level sections, fans benefit from a clearer view of the field while still being close to the action.
When choosing seats on the Plaza Level, it’s important to consider both which side of the field you are sitting on and how far the section is from home plate, as sightlines can vary.
Views from the Plaza Level
Plaza Level seats offer a great balance between proximity to the field and a comfortable viewing angle.
Because of the slight elevation above the Field Level, fans can often see the entire field more easily, including plays developing in the outfield.
Seats closer to home plate provide the most balanced perspective, while seats farther down the lines offer a more angled view toward the infield.
Dugout Plaza Seats
Sections 216 through 239 are known as Dugout Plaza seats.
These sections sit near the infield and are considered some of the best seats on the Plaza Level. Their location also places them beneath the stadium overhang, making them some of the best shaded seats in the lower seating bowl.
The elevation of these sections provides excellent views of the entire field. However, fans seated in the very last rows may find that the overhang slightly blocks high popups or fly balls.
Nearby amenities include:
Family restrooms
Papa John’s Pizza
Boulevard Pub
These amenities are conveniently located on both sides of the Dugout Plaza seating area.
Plaza Seats Down the Line
Plaza Level seats farther down the baselines offer a more affordable alternative to Field Level seats directly in front of them.
Left Field Side Seats along the left field line will typically have the sun behind them during late afternoon and evening games, making them more comfortable during warmer weather.
Right Field Side Seats along the right field line, especially Sections 247–249, tend to receive more direct sun exposure during day games.
For balanced views, consider Sections 240–241, which provide solid sightlines toward both the infield and outfield.
If those sections are unavailable or outside the budget, seats farther down the lines such as Sections 206–207 or 248–249 can be a good value. While they sit closer to the outfield corners, they often provide better angles toward home plate than many comparable sections farther up the stadium.
