Dugout Boxes

(2026 Review) - Up-Close Field-Level Seating: Located in Sections 116–125 and 130–139 on the 100 Level.    Close to the Dugouts: Royals dugout sits near Sections 136–139, visitors near Sections 116–119.    Excellent Proximity: Approximately 20 rows per section with Row A closest to the field.    Protective Netting: Extends along the infield to improve fan safety.    Limited Shade: These seats receive significant sun exposure during day games.    Who Should Sit Here  Dugout Box seats are perfect for fans who want to sit close to the action and experience the game from field level. These sections are especially popular with fans hoping to watch players interact in the dugout or see plays develop around the bases up close.  Dugout Box Location + Details  Dugout Box seats make up the infield seating sections on the 100 Level at Kauffman Stadium and include Sections 116 through 125 and 130 through 139.  Each section contains roughly 20 rows of seating, with Row A positioned at the front of the section closest to the field.  These sections sit directly along the infield, placing fans near both dugouts:  Visitors dugout: In front of Sections 116–119    Royals dugout: In front of Sections 136–139    Because of their proximity to the field and dugouts, Dugout Box seats are among the most desirable field-level seats at the ballpark.  Views from the Dugout Boxes  Dugout Box seats offer excellent close-up views of the game from along the infield.  Fans sitting here can clearly follow pitch sequences, defensive shifts, and plays around the bases while also being close enough to watch players enter and exit the dugouts.  The shallow layout of the sections ensures that even seats toward the back still feel relatively close to the field.  Shade & Sun Exposure  One trade-off with these seats is limited protection from the sun.  Because the Dugout Box sections are located at field level and do not have an overhead structure above them, they offer very little shade during day games.  Seats located in higher rows near home plate, particularly in sections 123–125, will typically see shade slightly earlier than other sections.  Fans prioritizing shade may want to consider the Plaza Level seats above, which sit near the field but are often protected by the upper-level overhang.     Protective Netting  For safety, protective netting runs along the front of the infield seating areas.  While this reduces the number of foul balls reaching the seats, it helps provide a safer environment for fans seated close to the field. Views from the front rows of the Dugout Box sections may be slightly impacted by the protective netting.

Fan Reviews

Right above the dugout!! The only better seats for visiting fans is in the dugout. Right above the visitor dugout and tunnel. Close to the on-deck circle. So close to home plate.

Took a while to walk down the stairs here, but totally worth it!

    Verified by an RYS expert

Our research shows that Row W in Section 123 is the second to last row in the section, making these seats fairly easily accessible from the entry tunnel and only requires going down 2 steps to get to your row. Unfortunately we do not have specifics on the width of the aisles or the rows, however the Royals do list a phone number and email address of someone within the organization who you can contact for more information in this matter.
