Pavilion Box

(2026 Review) - Upper Level Behind Pavilion Club: Located directly behind the Pavilion Club seats on Fenway Park’s highest seating tier.    Small Sections: Most sections feature fewer than five rows, keeping fans relatively close to the front of the section.    Covered Seating: Sections are protected by the roof, providing shade and protection from rain.    Strong Value Option: Often priced lower than Aura Pavilion Club seats while offering similar elevated views.    Barstool Rows Available: Select rows feature barstool seating positioned along a drink rail.    Who Should Sit Here  Pavilion Box seats are a good option for fans looking for an elevated view of Fenway Park without paying club-level prices. These seats appeal to fans who prefer sitting higher in the stadium where the entire field is easy to see, while still enjoying covered seating and smaller section sizes.  Location + Details  Pavilion Box seats are located on Fenway Park’s highest seating tier, positioned directly behind the Aura Pavilion Club sections.  These seats are labeled PB1 through PB14 on the Fenway Park seating chart. Each section typically contains fewer than five rows of seating, with Row A located closest to the front of the section.  Although these seats are labeled as “box seats,” the seating itself is similar to the standard stadium-style chairs found throughout Fenway Park.  Some Pavilion Box sections also feature barstool seating positioned against a drink rail, offering a slightly different viewing setup and a place to set down food or drinks.  Another advantage of this area is that the Pavilion Level sits under the stadium roof, which helps provide shade during day games and protection from rain.  Views from Pavilion Box Seats  Pavilion Box seats offer a high but comfortable perspective of the entire field.  From this height, fans can easily follow the flow of the game and see plays develop across the diamond. Many fans enjoy this vantage point because it provides a clear look at defensive positioning and pitch location.  While these seats sit farther from the field than most lower-level sections, the viewing experience is often considered superior to many Grandstand seats, which can suffer from obstructed views due to Fenway Park’s historic design.  Pavilion Box vs Aura Pavilion Club  There is often confusion between Pavilion Box seats and Pavilion Club seats, as both areas are located on the same upper level of Fenway Park.  Pavilion Club Seats  Located in the front rows of the Pavilion Level    Labeled AC1–AC5 (Aura Club behind home plate) and AP1–AP14 (Aura Pavilion along the baselines)    Include access to the Aura Club indoor lounge    Feature padded seating with additional legroom    May include in-seat wait service during Red Sox games    Pavilion Box Seats  Located directly behind the Pavilion Club sections    Labeled PB1–PB14 on the seating chart    Do not include access to the Aura Club    Use standard stadium-style seating    Typically priced lower while still offering strong views of the field    Fans deciding between the two will generally choose Pavilion Club seats for amenities and indoor club access, while Pavilion Box seats offer a more budget-friendly way to sit on the Pavilion Level.

Covered Seats on a Rainy Day At Fenway there are two primary options for covered seating. Buy a cheap seat in the Grandstand level and play roulette with the obstructive poles or head up to one of these Pavilion Boxes.

In a small ballpark there are much closer views, but these are the seats all the club ticketholders (pavilion club is just in front of these but not covered) flocked to when it started raining.

In my opinion these are the best seats at Fenway on a rainy day.
