Green Monster Location & Seating Details

Green Monster Seats are located above the Green Monster in left field, sitting approximately 37 feet above the playing surface.

This seating area runs along the top of the wall and is divided into several sections labeled M1 through M10 on the Boston Red Sox seating chart.

Reserved seating in this area features barstool-style chairs positioned behind a drink rail, allowing fans to sit comfortably while looking directly down toward the field. The elevated perch offers a completely different perspective compared to traditional stadium seating.

Behind the seating area runs the Green Monster walkway, where fans will find concession options and a bar located directly behind the seats.

There are two primary ticket types available in this area.

Reserved Green Monster Seats

Reserved seats feature individual barstools paired with a drink rail. These seats provide a designated place to sit while still maintaining the social atmosphere that defines the Monster.

Standing Room Only (SRO) Monster Tickets
SRO tickets allow fans access to the Green Monster walkway. These tickets do not include a seat, but fans can stand along the railing if they arrive early enough to secure a spot.

Views from the Green Monster

The view from the Green Monster is unlike anywhere else in baseball.

Fans sit directly above the left field wall, providing an incredible vantage point for balls hit toward the Monster. Line drives, doubles off the wall, and towering fly balls all play out right below these seats.

Sections M2 through M6 are particularly desirable for fans hoping to catch a home run ball, as they sit near the most common landing areas for balls cleared over the wall.

Because these seats are located deep in the outfield, the viewing angle toward home plate and the right side of the field can feel distant compared to infield seating. However, the trade-off is the chance to watch balls slam off the Green Monster or land just feet away.

What It's Like to Sit Here

Green Monster Seats offer one of the most memorable and unique experiences in all of Major League Baseball.

The open-air design creates a relaxed and social environment where fans can move around, grab food or drinks from the nearby concession stand and bar, and enjoy the view of the ballpark from above left field.

One of the biggest factors to consider when sitting here is sun exposure. These seats are completely uncovered and will receive direct sunlight until the sun drops behind the press box later in the evening.

Wind can also be noticeable due to the elevated location on top of the wall.

Another drawback is the limited view of the main scoreboard, which sits above center field and is difficult to see from many Green Monster seats.
