Field Boxes

(2026 Review) - Close to the Action: Located within 20 rows of the field, offering some of the closest unobstructed views at Fenway Park.    Excellent Sightlines: Positioned in front of the Grandstand, meaning no support poles obstruct the view.    Dugout Proximity: Sections 21–28 sit behind the Red Sox dugout, while Sections 62–68 are behind the visitor dugout.    Premium Lower-Level Seats: Among the most desirable non-club seats for Boston Red Sox games.    Protective Netting: All rows in these sections sit behind protective netting near home plate.    Who Should Sit Here  Field Box seats are perfect for fans who want premium lower-level seating close to the field without paying for club seating. These seats are popular with fans who want excellent views of the game and proximity to the dugouts, making them a great option for those hoping to watch players up close throughout the game.  Field Boxes Locations & Details  Field Box seats are located in the lower level of Fenway Park, directly behind the Dugout Box seating and positioned between the baselines.  These sections typically sit within 20 rows of the playing field, placing fans extremely close to the action. Because they are positioned in front of the Grandstand, fans sitting in Field Box sections do not have to worry about the support poles that obstruct views in other parts of the stadium.  At the front of many sections is Dugout Club seating or the team dugout itself, followed by the Field Box rows.  Rows in the Field Box sections are labeled with letters, generally running from the front rows up to Row M, where the main concourse walkway is located.  All seats in these sections sit behind protective netting, which extends across the infield to help protect fans from foul balls.  Views from Field Box Seats  Field Box seats offer some of the best sightlines in the stadium.  Fans sitting here enjoy a close, unobstructed view of the field that allows them to follow the action at home plate, along the basepaths, and in the dugouts.  Because these seats are close to the field, fans can often hear conversations between players and coaches and see the game from a similar perspective as the players.  While the proximity is excellent, some fans note that the historic Fenway seats themselves can feel narrow or less comfortable than seats found in modern stadiums.  Choosing the Right Side  When selecting Field Box seats, the side of the field can have a noticeable impact on both views and sun exposure.  Third Base Side  Receives shade earlier in the day    Often preferred for afternoon games    First Base Side  Provides a direct view of the Green Monster in left field    Typically stays in the sun longer during day games    Dugout Locations  Fans hoping to sit near their favorite team should consider the location of the dugouts:  Sections 21–28 are located behind the Red Sox dugout    Sections 62–68 sit behind the visitor dugout    These sections can be especially appealing for fans hoping to see players entering and exiting the dugout throughout the game.  Field Boxes vs Right Field Boxes  Field Box seats should not be confused with the Right Field Box sections.  While both share similar naming conventions, Right Field Box seats are located much farther from home plate and do not offer the same premium sightlines that make the Field Box sections so desirable.
