  • Section 147 Reviews

Rude and drunk fans in this section

    Jun 2011

    Baseball Review
    Section 147, Row 15, Seat 12

What's better than enjoying a Phillies game on a Sunday summer afternoon in the sun? The team is great, the park is great and the food is close. Unfortunately that experience can be ruined very easily in section 147, especially on Sunday's. In this section you will find some of the most ignorant, obnoxious and rude people at CBP. There is a group of gentlemen who all know each other and have been Sunday ticket holders in this section for years. They show up no earlier than the 3rd inning already drunk. They spend the entire game talking loudly about a variety of non-baseball related and vulgar topics, often standing up during game action and sitting in seats that they do not hold tickets for. The defining statement for the 147 Sunday crew is perhaps the view that the management of CBP has of the section. On Sunday afternoons, alcohol is only sold to this section until the 3rd inning. The section has been deemed too "high risk" for sales later than the first third of the game. Unfortunately a lot of single game tickets are sold for this section, so if you are considering coming to a game on a Sunday, avoid this place at all costs.

    • Field Level Outfield

      -

Just beyond the outfield walls and on the closest tier to the field of any outfield seating option. The Field Level Outfield sections will be your best chance at catching a home run ball, but will require you to sacrifice shade in order to do so. Weigh your options on the Phillies seating chart before sitting in the Field Level Outfield sections. The majority of these sections are exposed to the sun for most of the day, however the last four rows of sections 102-107 in right field and 142-145 in left field do provide some relief thanks to the overhanging club level outfield seating above. Section 101 in right center is a great option for home team fans as the Phillies bullpen is located just below. Seats on the left field side will have a near impossible view of the large video board, located directly behind the furthest left field sections.

      (Section 140) - -

Big bucks for so far away and with a partial view. No one showed up in our row to the left so people with worse tickets moved in. Took a good look around and won't be going back.

    • "Row 1- On the Wall-HR Alley"

      (Section 143) - -

Row 1 on the Wall, is great anywhere but especially in these seats, sitelines are directly behind second base bag. So you get view of every double play, and spectacular view of the full diamond. Then there is those HR balls, and plenty of them. Nothing like an Outfielder climbing the wall right i...
