RYS Expert Reviews
Upper Concourse Sections
(2026 Review) -
Budget Reserved Option: Sections 200–204 offer some of the cheapest assigned seats
Better Than Lawn Views: Elevated sightlines provide a clearer view of the stage
No Roof Coverage: Fully exposed to sun and weather conditions
Long Row Layout: Upper rows can have very long rows with 50+ seats
Best Rows to Target: Rows A–D offer shorter rows and easier access
Who Should Sit Here
Upper Concourse seats are ideal for fans looking for a budget-friendly reserved option with better views than the Lawn. This is a great choice for those who want a guaranteed seat and improved sightlines, even if it means being farther from the stage and exposed to the elements.
Upper Concourse Location & Details
The Upper Concourse at Shoreline Amphitheatre consists of Sections 200–204, located behind the Lower Concourse and just in front of the Lawn. These sections are often the main alternative for fans deciding between reserved seating and lawn tickets.
Unlike the Lower Concourse, these sections are not covered by the canopy, which can make a noticeable difference during hot days or inclement weather.
Views from Upper Concourse
Views from the Upper Concourse are generally strong thanks to the elevation of the sections.
Compared to the Lawn, these seats provide a clearer and more consistent view of the stage, with fewer sightline disruptions from crowd movement. The elevated perspective allows fans to take in the full performance more easily, even from farther distances.
Seating Layout & Access
One of the biggest drawbacks of the Upper Concourse is the length of the rows, particularly in higher rows.
Some rows — especially toward the back — can have 50 to 60+ seats, which can make getting in and out of your seat more difficult. Fans may find themselves frequently standing to let others pass or navigating around multiple people when entering or exiting.
To avoid this issue, it’s recommended to look for seats in Rows A–D, where rows are shorter (typically under 30 seats) and access is much easier.
The Upper Concourse offers a more relaxed, seated experience compared to the Lawn while still maintaining a budget-friendly price point. It’s a good middle ground for fans who want structure and better views without paying for closer sections.
Other Considerations
No roof coverage — plan for sun or weather conditions
Longer rows can impact convenience and comfort
Stronger views than Lawn, but farther from the stage
Best value comes from combining front rows with center sections

Good Seats on the Side — The sun was down by the time I sat down here, which was a blessing because these were directly in the sun earlier.
