RYS Expert Reviews

A Deck

(2026 Review) - Lower-Level Core: A Deck forms the heart of Ohio Stadium's horseshoe, wrapping the field at the lower level.  Sections Included: Numbered 1A–30A, with even numbers on the east side and odd numbers on the west.  Close to the Action: Most sections start just 12 rows from the field, directly behind the AA Deck Seats.  Clear Sightlines: Preferred over AA Deck because views aren't blocked by players and personnel on the sideline.  Good to Know: These are bleacher seats with up to 37 rows, and the first row sits beside the section tunnel.  Who Should Sit Here  A Deck is for the fan who wants to be as close to Buckeyes football as possible without paying for a club or premium area. If you value proximity and clean sightlines at Ohio Stadium over creature comforts, this is some of the best value in the building. Just know you'll be on bleacher seating.  A Deck Seating Details  A Deck is the lower-level ring that makes up the core of the stadium's horseshoe shape. Sections run 1A through 30A, with even numbers on the east side and odd numbers on the west. Most sections begin just 12 rows from the field, immediately behind the AA Deck. The first row is usually labeled 1 and is also where the section tunnel is located, so sitting near it means fewer stairs but more foot-traffic distraction. There are no A Deck sections directly behind the Ohio State bench — that space is occupied by Club Seats.  Views from A Deck  With most sections starting only 12 rows up and running up to 37 rows deep, A Deck delivers some of the closest views for Ohio State football. Because the seats sit behind the AA Deck rather than at field level, your sightlines aren't blocked by players and staff along the sideline. Overall, these are some of the best and closest seats in the stadium.  Best Pick & Shade  To be on the OSU sideline, choose an odd-numbered section such as 17A. You'll be close to the Buckeyes bench and also on the less sunny side of the field.

Fan Reviews

  • Holy Cow - how are these seats better than the Deck AA tickets?! Seats are covered too! — Sat in 22A Row 36, Seats 30 & 31 and figured we’d be disappointed because they wouldn’t be nearly as good as the AA Deck. But...lo and behold if they weren’t actually better! RIGHT SMACK IN THE MIDDLE ON THE 50 YARD LINE with the perfect view thanks to being just high enough to get the perfect eagle eyed view of the field and all the plays! And, the seats are covered (which was a huge bonus because the OSU/TX game was hot and sunny - the couple we went with had tickets on the AA deck and got sunburns. That said, they were in 17AA, Row 11 which were also killer seats, granted, they were uncovered, but they had chairback seating which I didn’t even know existed!
