RYS Expert Reviews

Drink Rail Seats

(2026 Review) - Top of Mezzanine Sections: Top row (row 5) of most Mezzanine sections, plus select spots on the upper deck at the north end.  Extra Space: Wider, moveable chairs with more room side-to-side and front-to-back than standard stadium seats.  Personal Ledge: Each seat sits at a small rail — ideal for resting drinks, food, and phones.  Best Sections: M11 and M28 sit near center court and center ice for a well-balanced view.  Know Before You Buy: Some rails — especially in the Mezzanine — can have partially limited sightlines.  Who Should Sit Here  The Drink Rails at Little Caesars Arena are for fans who value comfort and elbow room over sitting in a traditional seat. If you like having space to spread out, a ledge for your food and drink, and a moveable chair, these rails deliver a more relaxed way to take in a game or event.  Drink Rail Seating Details  Rail seating is located in the top row (row 5) of most Mezzanine sections and in select locations of the upper deck on the north end of the arena. Rather than a fixed stadium seat, you get a moveable chair positioned at a small ledge, with more space in every direction. Sections M11 and M28 are the standout choices, sitting near center court and center ice on both sides of the arena.  Views from the Drink Rails  Because the rails sit at the back of their sections, they offer an elevated vantage point over the action. The centered sections M11 and M28 provide an especially balanced perspective. Be aware that some rail seats — particularly in the Mezzanine — can have a limited view; sightlines aren't fully obstructed, but you may not be able to see everything at all times.  Comfort & Extras  Moveable Seating: Freestanding chairs instead of fixed stadium seats.  More Legroom: Extra space front-to-back and side-to-side.  Built-In Ledge: A small rail for drinks, food, and phones.

Mezzanine Level

(2026 Review) - Miidle Tier Seating: Second of three main seating bowls, circling the arena just above the Suite Level and below the upper (200) level.  Fewest Stairs: The smallest bowl, with five or fewer rows per section — easy in and out with minimal climbing.  Best Center Seats: Sections 10-12 and 27-29 sit at center court and center ice, and are part of the Mezzanine Sideline Club for most events.  Concert Note: For end-stage shows, sections M1-M7 and M32-M34 are behind the stage — worth avoiding for a head-on view.  Who Should Sit Here  The Mezzanine Level at Little Caesars Arena is a great fit for fans who want comfortable, low-effort seating. With only a handful of rows per section, you're not fighting a steep climb or the constant flow of people up and down the stairs. It suits anyone who values an easy walk to their seat as much as the view of the game.  Mezzanine Level Seating Details  The Mezzanine circles the arena between the Suite Level below and the upper 200 level above. It's the smallest of the three main bowls, with each section containing five or fewer rows. For basketball and hockey, sections 10-12 and 27-29 are the pick of the level, positioned at center court for Pistons games and center ice for Red Wings games.  Views from the Mezzanine Level  The center-most sections (10-12 and 27-29) deliver the most comfortable views of the action and are tough to beat for Pistons and Red Wings games. For concerts, sections 18-21 give a head-on view from the opposite end of a typical end-stage setup, though some may find it too far away. Sections 8-12 and 27-31 sit closer to the stage but offer a side view. Note that the Red Wings shoot twice toward the net in front of sections M15-M24.  Mezzanine Upgrades  Mezzanine Sideline Club: The center sections (10-12 and 27-29) are part of the Mezzanine Sideline Club for most events, adding extra amenities.  Drink Rails: For a slight upgrade on this level, consider the Drink Rail Seats at the top of select Mezzanine sections.

Mezzanine Level Side (Concert)

- Located on a small seating tier just below the 200 level, Mezzanine Side sections are a strong option if you prefer a more intimate atmosphere for a show at Little Caesars Arena. Sections here have no more than 5 rows of seating in each, and also feature standing drink rail options at the back of most sections. Drink rails are great for a more casual social atmosphere, but fans should be aware that views from the rail are considered limited. If you're attending a show which features a traditional end stage configuration, you can't go wrong with searching in Mezzanine sections 9-10 and 29-30. These options are close to the stage and won't put you at risk of an extreme side angle view (which can be the case if sitting in Mezzanine sections 8 or 31).

Mezzanine Sideline (Basketball)

- The Mezzanine Level sits on the smaller, more intimate second seating tier at Little Caesars Arena, and offers fans a very good viewing height without having to pay lower level prices.  These sideline sections are the spot to be if you're searching for tickets on the second tier Mezzanine level, as the majority of the seats will keep you between the baselines. Mezzanine sections 25-31 will put you closer to the team benches, but if you prefer a head on view to the benches, opt for the east sideline in Mezzanine sections 8-14.  Mezzanine sections are the smallest of any at Little Caesars Arena, with each one featuring no more than 5 rows of seating in each and making it a breeze to move between your seat and the concourse. Drink rail tickets are available at the top of most Mezzanine sections, but fans should be aware that these standing areas come with limited views of the court.

Mezzanine Sideline (Hockey)

- Similar to the seats near mid ice on the lower tier, most of the Mezzanine Level Side sections combine prime viewing angles with upscale amenities to create a fantastic experience at a Red Wings hockey game. Almost all ticket holders here will have access to an upscale club lounge area for NHL games, other than those sitting in Mezzanine sections 8, 14, 25, and 31. The lounge offers a unique atmosphere for socializing and also gives you a private bar to share with your fellow Sideline Club ticket holders. Aside from the perks found in most of the seats here, the viewing angles and seating height are ideal for being able to follow all the action on the ice without obstruction. These sections are also very small with no more than 5 rows of seating in each (with some also having a bar rail at the top), allowing for the easiest trips between the seats and the concourse. Should you be considering Drink Rail tickets on the Mezzanine, it is important to note that the views of the ice from the standing rail position will be limited.

Sideline Mezzanine Club

(2026 Review) - Location: Sideline mezzanine level, sections Mezzanine 9-13 and 26-30 at Little Caesars Arena.  Private Bar Lounge: A private bar area with lounge-style seating sits just above the seats.  In-Seat Service (Red Wings Games): Fans receive in-seat wait service during Detroit Red Wings games.  Best Views for Hockey & Basketball: Arguably the best views in the arena for these games — high enough to see end-to-end, but not too far from the action.  Smaller Sections: Each section has five or fewer rows.  Who Should Sit Here  The Sideline Mezzanine Club at Little Caesars Arena is for fans who want a great vantage point and a few club perks without paying for the extravagant bells and whistles of the lower-level premium options. It's a strong fit for hockey and basketball fans who prioritize a complete, end-to-end view and appreciate the added comfort of a private lounge and in-seat service.  Sideline Mezzanine Club Seating Details  These seats run along the sidelines on the mezzanine level, spanning Mezzanine 9-13 on one side and Mezzanine 26-30 on the other. These are some of the smaller sections in the arena, with five or fewer rows in each, keeping the seating count intimate.  Views from the Sideline Mezzanine Club  For hockey and basketball games, these are arguably the seats with the best views at Little Caesars Arena — they provide enough height to see end-to-end comfortably while staying close enough to feel connected to the action. For concerts, expect a side view of the stage, with Mezzanine 9 and Mezzanine 30 usually sitting closest to it.  Perks & Extras  Private Bar & Lounge: A private bar area with lounge-style seating located just above the seats.  In-Seat Wait Service: Available during Detroit Red Wings games.  Good to Know  If you're heading to a concert rather than a game, aim for Mezzanine 9 or Mezzanine 30 — these are typically the sections closest to the stage, which helps offset the side-angle view from this level.  Disclaimer: In-seat wait service applies to Detroit Red Wings games. Amenities may vary for basketball, concerts, and other events. Confirm what's included for your specific event before purchasing.

Seating Notes

  • For hockey games, we recommend these seats for impressing a guest
  • For hockey games, desirable view from near center ice
  • Views from near center court for basketball games
  • Premium seating area as part of the Sideline Mezzanine Club

Can't see a thing once concert started. — Seats were great until the concert started. The last row in this section is row 5. There are individual chairs with a long table style thing to put your drinks on in front. Once the concert started, everyone stood (all good, I stand at concerts too) and we could not see a thing. Not even standing on our chairs. Had to sneak to another section to see the concert. Horrible seats.

Katt Williams - Apr 12, 2025 — The show was great! The seats were too close. If you have issues with heights you may feel somewhat uncomfortable.
