Section 42 at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium

- The best seats at the Swamp for seeing the action on the field are found along the sidelines in the lower level. These large sections each feature 50 rows of seating with the entrance tunnels located near Row 32. Sitting near this row makes for easy exits to restrooms and concessions, while also providing an ideal amount of elevation for seeing the game. Seats closer to the field in Rows 10 and below are very low to the field. This gives you a vantage point that only coaches and players ever get to experience. But it may also be difficult to see each side of the field with the aforementioned coaches and players in your way. The Florida sideline sits along sections 2-16 on the less sunny side of the field. The sun will set behind these sections in the late afternoon, providing some relief from bright light - and eventually shade. On the sunny side of the field you'll find Gators students occupying sections 30-44. 

(2026 Review) - Sideline Location: Portal Boxes run along the east and west sidelines at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium, positioned above the tunnels.  Semi-Private Setup: Each box is usually a group of 4 seats in its own semi-private space.  Barstool-Style Seating: Sometimes called Barstool Boxes for their small ledges — some have standing areas, others have chairback seats.  Solid Elevated Views: Boxes in even-numbered sections sit near row 40 and offer some of the best overall views of the field.  Know Before You Buy: Beyond extra space, there are no additional amenities — just a slight comfort upgrade over standard seats in these sections.  Who Should Sit Here  The Portal Boxes at Ben Hill Griffin Stadium are a good fit for a small group of up to four who want a bit of semi-private space and a comfort upgrade over standard sideline seating. They're ideal for fans who value elbow room and a strong sideline vantage point, especially those in the even-numbered boxes near row 40.  Portal Box Seating Details  Portal Boxes are found on both the east and west sidelines, located above the tunnels in odd- and even-numbered sections. In even-numbered sections, the boxes sit near row 40. On the seating chart, box rows are labeled BX to indicate they are portal box seats.  Views from the Portal Boxes  These Portal Boxes offer excellent sideline views of the field. Your exact perspective depends on the location of your box, with options ranging from near midfield to closer to the end zones along the sidelines.  What to Expect  Aside from more room for your group, Portal Boxes don't come with additional benefits or amenities — think of them as a slight comfort upgrade rather than a fully premium space.
