The open-air general admission Lawn area is the best place to find a cheap ticket to a show at Alpine Valley. A sloped grass hill provides the seating and good elevation to be able to see over fans in front. Views of the stage are far; however, there are multiple video monitors hanging from the pavilion roof to help fans follow the performance.

Because of the acts that Alpine Valley attracts, the Lawn becomes quite the party area. Younger kids will probably do better with a reserved seat in the Pavilion.

Alpine Valley Music Theatre does allow guests to bring average-size bags, food in a clear bag, bottled water and low-hanging lawn chairs.

For fans that don't want to bring their own lawn chairs, Alpine Valley does offer lawn chair rentals for about $10 per chair, but they must be returned at the end of the event.
