Best Seats For a Concert at State Farm Stadium
The most common seating layout at State Farm Stadium for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 101, Section 102 and Section 136. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Field: Sections Field A, Field B, Field C and Field D are Field Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, field sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the field layout and the views from each field section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 104, Section 105 and Section 133. The view is not head-on like on the field, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 116, Section 117, Section 118 and Section 119 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 101, Section 102, Section 136 and Section 137. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider field seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst field ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 112 and 126 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 408 and 448.

Sitting in the lower level baseline is a good option for fans who want to be on the main level, but aren't able to find seats along the sideline. Seats here might have difficult views of the court from being behind the basket, but you get an excellent head on viewing angle to the endzone videoboards.
It is important to note that reserved student seating occupies the closest options behind the baskets, so these sections do not extend as close to the court as other lower level options along the sidelines. Seating rows are numbered.
Much like the side sections, additional seating has also been added to the main level baseline sections, and you will find less elevation between rows when sitting near the south basket (sections 138-144). Should you have the option, we recommend sections behind the north basket as they face the larger of the 2 endzone videoboards at the stadium.
Main Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Corner seats on the main level will have some of the furthest views on the lowest seating tier for basketball games at U of P Stadium. Only a few of these sections feature the extended riser seating (sections 104, 113, 125, and 134), leaving the remaining sections with the traditional permanent seating.
Seats near the front of sections 103, 114, 124, and 135 will have some of the most frustrating viewing angles in the stadium, so we recommend searching elsewhere. This is due to the neighboring sections (closer to the court) having riser setups which will be higher above floor level while being at a similar distance from the back of the lower bowl.
As the views from the lower tier won't be anything to write home about unless you're near mid court, we recommend opting for the baseline sections over the corner sections as you at least get a head on view to the videoboards when sitting behind the baskets.
Main Level Side (Basketball) Seating
The main level side sections offer some of the best views for a basketball game at University of Phoenix Stadium, however you'll want to be as close to center court as possible and sitting in the single lettered rows. Sections 108-109 and 129-130 have the best angles thanks to their location near the mid court line, however views of the videoboards above the endzones will be difficult.
Temporary seating has been added to the sections here, with risers inserted to accommodate seats in the single lettered rows (at the front), and the double lettered rows (near the middle). It is important to know that the riser style seats in the lettered rows is much shallower than the permanent seating bowl, making it more difficult to see over fans in front.
Permanent seating picks up again at the back of the sections starting with row 29. These numbered seats will feel far from the floor, but keep you close to the concourse and provide more elevation over fans in front.
Terrace Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
If you can't find a Terrace Level seat near midcourt, the Terrace Baseline will be one of the better options for enjoying a basketball game. The corner seats might get you closer to the action, but from the upper tier you are more likely to be watching the game on the videoboard as opposed to the court.
Seats here have a straight away view of the larger south endzone videoboard, and you'll have little head turning to do throughout the game. Stick with the lettered seating rows as these are located at the front of the Terrace Level, where you feel closer to the game and concourse amenities.
Terrace Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
A seat in the Terrace Corner sections will leave you looking to the videoboards in order to follow the action happening on the court. The views of the actual game are extremely far, and as you won't have a head on viewing angle to the endzones, we recommend searching instead for seats in the Terrace Baseline where you can look straight away at the video coverage.
Seating begins with lettered rows below the entry tunnel, and numbered rows above. Whenever possible, opt for the lettered rows as these keep you closer to the court and concourse, and also feel like their own private seating deck.
Terrace Level Side (Basketball) Seating
While very high up and far for a basketball game at University of Phoenix Stadium, some of the seats in the Terrace Level Side offer a decent option for fans who want to watch the action on the court. Sections 411-414 and 442-445 have the best alignment to the center of court, so these should be your top targets when searching for a Terrace Level ticket.
The seating rows in the upper level begin with a handful of lettered rows at the front (below the concourse entryway), and continue with numbered rows in the rest of the section. Lettered row seats not only keep you closer to the court and provide an easier walk to and from the concourse, but also have a more comfortable feel similar to a semi private seating deck.
Main Level Corner (Football) Seating
Corner seating between the endzone and sidelines provides impressive proximity to the nearby goalines for this Main Level Corner location. On the lowest tier of the stadium, 8 corner sections near the north endzone and 6 corner sections near the south combine to make this unique seating area which provides diagonal views of the action across the field.
Fans searching for the best seats in this location should consider the north corner sections first (113-116, 122-125) as they will be able to easily view the large, impressive videoboard in the south endzone (corner sections at the south end will have a more difficult time viewing the videoboard). Most sections in the Main Level Corner sections contain 40 rows of seating running from row 1 (closest) to row 40 (furthest).
Main Level Endzone (Football) Seating
Just behind the north and south endzones on the closest level to the playing field, the Main Level Endzone seating sections offer the best views from in front and behind the line of scrimmage.
Sections in the north endzone (117-121) are large with 40 rows of seating followed by a handicap accessible seating row as well, but these seats offer some of the best views of the large videoboard that sits atop the south endzone. Fans sitting in the south endzone will have smaller sections with just 12 rows of seating, but are far from the concourses and restrooms, and are also left with a view of the smaller videoboard above the north endzone.
Main Level Sideline (Football) Seating
Located on the closest level to the playing field and along the sidelines are the 16 sections which make up the Main Level Sideline location. Seats in these sections provide a close proximity to field level and the 50 yard line, creating an optimal view of all the action and are often considered some of the best seats at University of Phoenix Stadium.
Fans can sit directly behind the home team bench in sections 107-110, while sections 128-131 are directly behind the visiting team bench. Sections in this location contain up to 41 rows of seating running from row 1 (closest) to row 41 (furthest). Sections 108, 109, 129 and 130 are located nearest to the 50 yard line and are also referred to as the Main Premier sections on the University of Phoenix Stadium seating chart.
Terrace Level Corner (Football) Seating
Terrace Level Corner sections are the furthest of any from the field of play, but are the best place to find cheap tickets at University of Phoenix Stadium. Fans can expect unique diagonal views of the field with decent sight lines to the near endzone, but the action will seem very far as the ball moves to the other side of the field.
Due to the far off perspective, fans are advised to look for seats in the north corners before considering the south corners, as the fans in the south will also have difficult views of the large videoboard which sits above and behind the south endzone. Terrace level corner sections feature 23 rows of seating with row 1 being closest to the front of the section, and row 23 the furthest.
Terrace Level Endzone (Football) Seating
Found on the top level of the seating chart and behind the north endzone only, the Terrace Level is the highest tier of endzone seating at University of Phoenix stadium. The views from this highest seating deck will be far, however fans here will have a great view of the large videoboard in the south endzone to stay in touch with all the details on the field.
These 7 sections also feature some of the smallest seating areas on the upper tier of the stadium (just 5 rows of seating), making for easier trips in and out of the seats. Rows A through E are available in most sections, with an open air standing room area located just above Row E.
Terrace Level Sideline (Football) Seating
Located on the highest tier of the stadium, Terrace Level Sideline seats are located between the endzones providing a further view which faces the team benches. Due to the proximity to the 50 yard line, these sections are a great option for finding cheap tickets near midfield.
Sections in this location contains 23 rows, with row 1 being closest to the front of the section, and row 23 being furthest. Sections 411-414 and 442-445 are located nearest to the 50 yard line on this highest tier, and are also known as the Terrace Main sections.
