Features & Amenities
A popular seating location for concerts at Smootie King Center is the floor. These seats are temporary and on ground level where the basketball court would normally be for a Pelicans game.
For most standard shows, the floor has five sections labeled A-D and a mix section. Sections A and B are much larger with around 30 rows of seating to C and D's 15 rows.
The smallest section on the floor is typically the mixer section located in front of the mix. There is no difference between this section and other reserved floor seating other than its location in front of the area set up for light and sound technicians.
Recommended Floor Seats
When buying reserved floor seats keep in mind that there is no height difference between rows. The further back in a section you go, the more people there will be to compete with for clear sight lines to the stage.
For this reason, it is recommended to purchase tickets in the lowest row of a section that fits your budget. In other words, for a standard setup, the front rows of sections C or D might provide better views than the back rows of A and B.
Customized Floor Setups
It is not uncommon for a concert to change up the setup on the floor. The seating is of course temporary and easily moved around to accommodate for an artists stage or preferred setup. For this reason, be sure to look at the concert seating chart for the specific show you wish to attend.
