Scout Seats

(2026 Review) - Prime Home Plate Views: Scout Seats are located in the four sections directly behind home plate, with all seats within 15 rows of the field.  Pre-Game Buffet: Fans enjoy an upscale pre-game buffet served in a reception area just outside the visitor locker room.  All-Inclusive: Unlimited food and beverages throughout the game, plus grab-and-go snacks like popcorn and ice cream.  In-Seat Wait Service: Food and beverages delivered directly to your seat so you never miss a pitch.  Wow Factor: Often considered the absolute best seats for a Chicago White Sox game.  Who Should Sit Here  The Scout Seats at Rate Field are designed for fans seeking the ultimate gameday experience, combining unmatched proximity to the field with premium all-inclusive service and amenities. These seats are ideal for special occasions or entertaining clients, and are widely considered the best seats for a White Sox game.  Scout Seats Location & Details  Scout Seats at Rate Field are located in the first four sections directly behind home plate, labeled 130S–134S on the Chicago White Sox seating chart. All seats are within 15 rows of the field, offering unmatched proximity to the action. Fans access their seats through the same tunnel used by the umpires to enter the field.  Entry is through Gate 3½ behind home plate at a private entrance. From there, fans access an exclusive lounge and walk through halls filled with White Sox memorabilia and history before heading down to field level.  Views from the Scout Seats  The Scout Seats at Rate Field offer the most direct and up-close views of home plate. Fans sitting in the first few rows are often visible on the TV broadcast. The protective netitng sits in front of you, much doesn't casue much obstruction.  Scout Seats Amenities  Upon arrival, fans are treated to a gourmet pre-game buffet and open bar in the private lounge. Guests then walk through the same underground tunnel used by players to reach their seats. It’s not uncommon to pass visiting players during their pre-game routines.  Throughout the game, fans can return to the lounge area for:  All-inclusive food    All-inclusive bar and beverages    Grab-and-go stadium snacks    From the seats, fans can expect:  Padded seating for added comfort    In-seat wait service so you never have to leave your seat    Scout Seats Pro Tips  Early Season Matchups: Early-season games, when the weather is less ideal, are often the best time to find value on Scout Seats. High-demand matchups (Cubs, Yankees, Red Sox) typically carry the highest prices.  Arrive Early: Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch — arrive early to take full advantage of the all-inclusive food and beverage offerings.  Foul Balls: Stay alert throughout the game. Foul balls frequently reach this area, and some can ricochet off the upper-level stanchions back toward the Scout Seats.

  • Best Seats I've Ever Sat In — The Scout Seats at U.S. Cellular Field are far and away the best seats I've ever been in -- at any stadium. Sitting directly behind home plate affords you a view of the entire field and allows you to see movement on breaking balls. In addition, the umpires walk through the same tunnel you walk through and the visitors locker room is on the other side of a rope underneath the seats.

Before the game you're likely to see opposing players stretching and talking mere inches away from you. The ticket also game with a pregame buffet, unlimited drinks before and during the game. Free hot dogs and peanuts tossed liberally to anyone at anytime. Free ice cream throughout the game and more. I was fortunate enough to find two seats for a Saturday night at $125 apiece and I would do it again in a second.

  • Can't Beat the Scout Seats!! — Best baseball seats in Chicago, hands down. Starts with the pre-game meal - make sure you get here about an hour early so you can enjoy the buffet. There were about two-dozen different stations with a pretty good spread.

All drinks included, beer, wine, alcohol, you call it. Brought to you at your seats usually in less than 5 minutes. You can also order off a menu at your seats or grab hot dogs, popcorn, peanuts, ice cream and soda anytime you want it.

Super-comfortable, over-sized seats with a table every four chairs. Awesome view and the bigger videoboard looks really good from here.

Biggest downside is having to walk forever to get to the bathrooms. That really needs to be fixed.

  • Nothing But the Best in the Scout Seats! — This was my second time sitting in the Scout Seats, and it was just as great as I remembered! Arrived about an hour early to enjoy the buffet and have a few drinks.

Made our way to the seats and was pleasantly surprised to learn that they added tables between some of the seats. This is awesome for the Scout Seats where you get free food and drink. Now I had a place to put it all.

I certainly indulged enough to get my money's worth!

Front of sections 108-156 are behind the netting — There is some amount of netting or screening in front of all lower level sections in foul territory. The height and coverage of netting or screening will vary by section.

  • Where are the wider seats in the park?

Most of the seats at Guaranteed Rate Field are standard stadium style seats. There are a few sections that will have larger seats because they are premium sections. These would be the Scout Seats, The Goose Island, and the Guaranteed Rate Club which all have larger seats.

The next best option is one of the wheelchair rows behind the outfield sections. This row has folding chairs which provide more room + additional legroom.
