  • Great Fireworks Views: Sections 522-524 provide some of the best fireworks views in the stadium.

Who Should Sit Here

Upper Box seats are a good option for fans looking for affordable seats behind home plate or along the infield while still enjoying a straight-on perspective of the game. These sections can be a good fit for fans who prefer a higher vantage point to see the entire field develop, but they may not be ideal for those who dislike steep stairways or long climbs.

Upper Box Location & Details

Upper Box seating includes sections 522-544 on the White Sox seating chart and is located on the 500 Level behind home plate and along the infield.

The first few rows of some sections are occasionally labeled Premium Upper Boxes, though these seats do not include any additional amenities or special privileges compared to the rest of the section.

Because of the stadium’s vertical design, the upper level sits high above the field with steep walkways. Recent stadium improvements have helped improve accessibility, but fans sitting in higher rows should expect a noticeable climb.

Upper Box Views

Upper Box seats provide a high, straight-on perspective of the field, particularly in sections near home plate.

However, because of the stadium’s design, seats higher in the section can feel quite elevated. Fans sitting above roughly row 8 may find themselves wishing they chose seats closer to the front due to the height and steep steps.

One major advantage of this location comes on fireworks nights. Sections 522-524 provide some of the best views in the stadium, offering a direct head-on view of the fireworks display without needing to turn around or strain to see the show.

Recommended Seats

For the best overall experience in the Upper Box sections, try to sit in the first five rows. These seats provide the most comfortable viewing height and require significantly fewer stairs.

Fans looking for shade or weather protection should consider sitting in higher rows under the stadium roof, while those attending afternoon games may prefer the first-base side, where seats will typically fall into shade earlier.

Behind home plate. Is a bit of a hike to get up to this row. Great view of the fireworks though.

      (Section 529) - -

Not the most spectacular seats in the ballpark but also not bad by any means. Good view from behind home plate. Being slightly in the first base side means you really get a good look at balls to the left side of the infield and outfield. Some elderly people were taking it slow on the stairs so...

    • "Pretty Good For Upper Level Seats"

      (Section 529) - -

Ticket prices for the Sox have been pretty cheap lately. So sitting on the lower level hasn't been much of a problem recently. But this game was against the Cubs, so I went with less expensive upper level seats. And to tell you the truth, I really, really liked them! The first few rows of the sec...
