Best Seats For a Concert at Rose Bowl Stadium
The most common seating layout at Rose Bowl Stadium for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 1, Section 2 and Section 21. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Field: Sections Field A1, Field A2, Field A3 and Field A4 are Field Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, field sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the field layout and the views from each field section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 4, Section 5 and Section 18. The view is not head-on like on the field, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 10, Section 11, Section 12 and Section 13 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 1, Section 2, Section 21 and Section 22. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider field seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst field ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections E Level Suites Center and E Level Suites North are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level .

The corner location provides a unique viewpoint of all the Rose Bowl action as fans view across the field diagonally, and experience the excitement of scoring opportunities at the near goal lines.
The corner location consists of 8 sections, with two in each position running from North East to South West (Sections 1, 8, 9, 14, 15, 22, 23, and 28). Sections at the Rose Bowl are some of the biggest in all of football, so we recommend staying near the entry tunnel located at Row 25 to minimize the number of stairs to walk before reaching your seats.
Lettered rows are located at the front of most sections here, running in reverse order from the field (letters further down in the alphabet will be closer to the field). Numbered seating follows behind Row A, which extend all the way to the top of the stadium at Row 77.
An aisle down the middle of each section creates a left and right half, which are commonly refereed to as the High (H) and Low (L) part of the section. As you face the field, the Low (i.e. 15-L) part is located just left of the aisle starting with Seat 1, while the High (i.e. 15-H) part is located just to the right of the aisle starting with Seat 101.
Endzone (Football) Seating
Upfront views of scoring chances from behind the line of scrimmage are what the Endzone location is all about. While views of the opposite endzone may be far, this vantage point allows fans to appreciate play execution and route running at its finest collegiate level.
Four sections at each endzone comprise this 8 total section location, with sections 24 and 27 having fewer seats in some sections due to stadium tunnels. As with all other sections in the main seating bowl, these sections feature a very large number of rows so we recommend staying near the entry tunnels which are found at Row 25.
Rows N-A are located at the front of each section (Row N being closest to the field), followed by the numbered rows above. An aisle down the middle of each section creates a left and right half, which are commonly referred to as the High (H) and Low (L) parts of the section. As you face the field, the Low (i.e. 15-L) part is located just left of the aisle starting with Seat 1, while the High (i.e. 15-H) part is located just to the right of the aisle starting with Seat 101.
Mid Field (Football) Seating
Located closest to the 50 yard line on each side of the stadium, the Mid Field location is comprised of sections 4, 5, 18, and 19 and offer the best views of the game from the main seating bowl. Being directly behind the team benches and right at midfield makes these seats some of the most sought after at the Rose Bowl.
And while the views are excellent here, fans will want to keep an eye on their seating row as the Sections are extremely large. Great views and shorter walks will be found between Rows 15-35 as the entry tunnel is located at Row 25. Fans sitting at the top (Row 77) should be prepared for lengthy walk to reach their seats.
An aisle down the middle of each section creates a left and right half, which are commonly refereed to as the High (H) and Low (L) part of the section. As you face the field, the Low (i.e. 4-L) part is located just left of the aisle starting with Seat 1, while the High (i.e. 4-H) part is located just to the right of the aisle starting with Seat 101. Sections at mid field start with Rows B-A at the front (Row B being closest to the field), followed by the numbered rows above.
Sideline (Football) Seating
The sideline location runs between the goal and 40-yard lines, and consists of sections 2, 3, 6, 7, 16, 17, 20, and 21. Fans will experience the game as it moves from East to West from their seats, and while not directly at midfield, the viewing angles will still be some of the best available.
The Rose Bowl features large sections which run from field level to the very last row of the stadium, so fans are advised to be cautious of Row numbers when purchasing tickets. As you enter the section, you will find yourself at Row 25, leaving a 52-row walk up to the very last row, and as much as a 35-row walk down to field level.
Lettered rows are located at the front of most sections here, running in reverse order from the field (letters further down in the alphabet will be closer to the field). Numbered seating follows behind Row A, which extends all the way to the top of the stadium at Row 77. As you face the field, Seat 1 will be the first on the left of the aisle, while Seat 101 is the first to the right of the aisle.
