RYS Expert Reviews
Corner
(2026 Review) -
Corner Location: Ground-level to upper bleacher seating in the corners of the field, spanning full sections that run up to 96 rows.
Student Sections: Sections 27-30 and 31R are student sections, known for a loud, rowdy atmosphere all season.
Sweet-Spot Rows: Rows 50-70 balance a good vantage point with a reasonable walk to your seats.
Know Before You Buy: All rows are bleacher-style benches with no back support, so seating is less comfortable than the premium areas.
Who Should Sit Here
The corner sections at Michigan Stadium suit budget-minded fans who want to be part of the Big House crowd and don't mind bench seating. Students and those who thrive on energy should look to the student sections, while anyone chasing a balanced view without a marathon climb should target the mid-to-upper rows.
Corner Seating Details
These sections sit in the corners of the field and are deep, with each section carrying up to 96 rows. Getting to your seat depends on the section: Sections 5-7 and 39-41 have entry tunnels at Rows 56 and 74, while all other corner sections have a single tunnel at Row 72. That layout is worth factoring in when you pick a row, since the front rows require a long walk down and the highest rows a long climb up. Student sections are located at Sections 27-30 and 31R.
Views from the Corner
The view changes a lot depending on your row. In the very front rows, the lack of elevation makes it hard to see over the sidelines to the far end of the field. The highest rows deliver the most distant and least desirable views for football. The best elevation for watching the game is near Row 20, but that leaves a long walk to reach the seats. Rows 50-70 are the safe middle ground, combining a solid view with a manageable trip in and out.
Good to Know
If comfort or an easy walk matters most, plan around the tunnel locations for your specific section and lean toward Rows 50-70. Bring a cushion if you're sensitive to backless bench seating over a full game.
Seating Notes
- For Michigan games, these seats are on the visitor side of the field
For Concerts, Section 8 May Have a Limited View
