Who Should Sit Here

Pit tickets are ideal for fans who want to be as close to the stage as possible and enjoy a high-energy concert environment. This is best suited for those who don’t mind standing and want to be fully immersed in the performance.

Pit Location & Details

For select shows at Merriweather Post Pavilion, Sections 100–102 are reconfigured into a General Admission Pit. When this happens, all seats are removed and replaced with an open standing area directly in front of the stage.

This setup allows fans to move freely within the section, with positioning determined by arrival time. Those who arrive earlier will have access to the most desirable spots near the front and center.

Views from the Pit

The Pit offers the closest and most direct views in the venue. Fans near the front will be just feet from the stage, while even those farther back remain closer than any other seating area.

Because the space is relatively flat, sightlines are best closer to the front.

Pit Experience

The Pit delivers a high-energy, crowd-focused experience that puts fans in the middle of the action. It’s one of the most engaging ways to enjoy a show at Merriweather Post Pavilion.

  • Pit configuration varies by show, so check the event setup before purchasing

  • Standing is required for the duration of the performance

  • Arriving early is key to securing a prime spot
