Who should sit here?
The Lawn is the go-to spot for families and social groups who want a relaxed, "picnic" vibe under the Florida sun. It’s perfect for Red Sox fans who prefer spreading out on a blanket rather than being tied to a stadium seat.
Location and Bullpen Proximity
The Lawn is located in Right Field, extending toward the center-field "Triangle." This area is famous for its proximity to the Boston Red Sox bullpen, which sits side-by-side with the visiting team's pen just beyond the outfield wall. Fans on the lawn can walk right up to the fence to watch their favorite pitchers go through their pre-game routines or warm up mid-game.
Seating Type and Equipment Policy
This is a General Admission, grass-only section with no fixed seats or bleachers. To maintain clear sightlines for all fans, lawn chairs and folding chairs are strictly prohibited inside JetBlue Park. Fans are encouraged to bring towels or blankets to claim their space on the grass. The area is open-concept, allowing you to choose your own vantage point as long as space is available.
View and Field Perspective
From the Right Field Lawn, you get a wide, expansive view of the entire playing surface, including a clear look at the Green Monster replica in Left Field. While you are further from the home plate action, being at field level provides a great sense of the speed and scale of the game. For afternoon games, this area is in direct sunlight, offering a classic Florida spring training experience.
Things to Know Before You Buy
-
The Sun Exposure: The Lawn has zero shade. With a 1:05 PM first pitch, you will be in direct sunlight for the entire game, making sunscreen, sunglasses, and hats non-negotiable.
-
Berm SRO vs. Lawn: Be aware that "Berm SRO" tickets are separate from the Lawn. While the Berm is also in Right Field, it is a paved concourse area for standing only, whereas the Lawn is the specific grassy hill designed for sitting on blankets.
-
Arrival Strategy: To get a spot directly behind the Red Sox bullpen or right against the outfield fence, you should aim to enter the stadium as soon as gates open (typically 90 minutes before first pitch).
