RYS Expert Reviews

300 Level

(2026 Review) - Upper Deck Location: The 300 Level is the top tier of the stadium, with surprisingly solid sightlines — especially for football.  Lower vs. Upper Rows: Each section splits at rows 1–7 (lower) and rows 8+ (upper); aim for the first seven rows when available.  Row 8 Obstructions: Some seats just above the tunnel (around row 8) have views blocked by railings.  Sun & Wind Caveats: Sections 301–314 catch late-afternoon sun, and edge sections like 301 and 340 can get very windy.  Football-First Level: The 300 Level is rarely open for MLS games.  Who Should Sit Here  The 300 Level at Gillette Stadium is a great fit for football fans who want a full-field perspective without paying lower-bowl prices. It works best for those willing to target the closer lower rows, and for anyone who values a wide view of the action over being right on top of it.  300 Level Seating Details  The 300 Level is the stadium's upper deck. Each section is divided into a lower portion (rows 1–7) and an upper portion (rows 8 and above). When you enter a section, you walk down toward rows 1–7 or climb a staircase to reach rows 8 and up. The gap between rows 7 and 8 is significant, so we highly recommend buying in the first seven rows when seats are available — you skip the extra staircase and sit closer to the action. Sideline seats always sell out first for football games.  Views from the 300 Level  Despite being at the top of the stadium, the 300 Level offers some good views, particularly for football. The lower rows (1–7) sit closer to the field and deliver the best sightlines. Be aware that some seats immediately above the tunnel, such as row 8, have views obstructed by the railings.  Good to Know  Sections 301–314 usually get blinded by the sun in the late afternoon, which can be especially annoying for evening concerts. Edge sections like 301 and 340 can get very windy, so dress accordingly for cooler games.

300 Level Sideline (Soccer)

- When open, the 300 level sideline sections offer good midfield views, although at a distance. To sit as close to midfield as possible, look in sections 309-310 or 331-332. Not only are these upper level sections, but they are also some of the biggest in the stadium. Each section has 29 rows. The first 7 rows are much closer than rows 8-29 due to a walkway that enters at row 7.

Upper Level Sideline (Football)

- Located on the third and highest tier from the field of play, and running along the sidelines is the Upper Level sideline. Sections 305-314 on the east sideline (Patriots side) and Sections 327-336 (visiting side) comprise this 20 total section seating location that may be far from the action, but provides good lines of sight to all areas of the field from a sideline perspective. Sections 309 and 310 are closest to the 50 yard line on the East side, Sections 331 and 332 are closest to the 50 yard line on the West side.

Seating Notes

  • For Patriots games, these seats are on the visitor side of the field

High Traffic Area — The view was decent but I had to contend with a lot of foot traffic from fans going to and from their seats. A glass partition at the bottom of the aisle was already in my line of sight and causing distraction, but with the additional people blocking the view as they walked up and down the stairs, it began to be an annoying place to sit. I would recommend sitting further away from the aisle to avoid getting blocked by the other fans, or possibly going up a few rows which would also help eliminate the glass barrier from catching your eye all the time.

Upper Level Goal Line, But Feels Like Midfield — Even though these seats are more along the goal line, the sight lines and elevation made it feel more like a midfield seats as I was able to see both ends of the field with ease. Good views of both scoreboards as well made sure that I didn't miss any details in the replays. Row 18 seemed like it would be higher up, but with the entry tunnel located at row 8, it was not too far of a walk to get where we needed.
