RYS Expert Reviews

Longhorn Lounge

(2026 Review) - A Middle-Ground Upgrade: A nice step up from regular seating without the price or full exclusivity of the premium clubs.    North End Zone Views: Outdoor chairback seats overlooking the north end zone — Sections 18 and 19, rows 54–64.    Open-Air Lounge + Live DJ: Exclusive open-air lounge access with TVs and a live DJ.    Food & Bar for Purchase: Upscale food and a cash bar available (until the start of the 4th quarter) — this area is not all-inclusive.    No Climate Control: The lounge is open-air, so there's no climate-controlled space.    Who Should Sit Here  The Longhorn Lounge at DKR Stadium is for fans who want a modest upgrade and a social, lounge-style atmosphere without stepping all the way up to a premium all-inclusive club. It's a nice fit for anyone who values chairback seating, exclusive lounge access, and a lively vibe with a live DJ — and who doesn't mind paying à la carte for food and drinks.  Longhorn Lounge Location & Details  The Longhorn Lounge is located in rows 54–64 of Sections 18 and 19 at DKR Texas Memorial Stadium. These two exclusive sections feature outdoor chairback seating that overlooks the north end zone, with an open-air lounge space directly behind the premium seating area.  Views from the Lounge  From Sections 18 and 19, the Longhorn Lounge looks out toward the corner of the north end zone from an elevated vantage. The two sections differ a bit: Section 18 sits closer to the end zone for a more behind-the-goal angle, while Section 19 offers more of a corner view down the field. The open-air setting keeps you connected to the stadium atmosphere, and TVs in the lounge make it easy to catch replays while you grab food or a drink.   Longhorn Lounge Perks  Exclusive open-air lounge access with TVs    A live DJ    Chairback seating    Upscale food options (available for purchase)    A cash bar (available for purchase until the start of the 4th quarter)    Set Your Expectations  Be clear on what the Longhorn Lounge is and isn't. Unlike DKR's top premium areas, it is not all-inclusive — food and drinks are purchased à la carte — and it is not climate-controlled, since the lounge is open-air. What you're paying for is the exclusive lounge access, chairback seats, north-end-zone view, and the social, DJ-driven atmosphere. If all-inclusive food or a climate-controlled space is a must-have, look to the other Longhorn premium seating options under "Clubs" instead.

Lower Level Endzone

- Sections in the Lower Level Endzone give fans an excellent view for scoring drives at the near endzone, but can have difficult views of the far end of the field especially in the lower rows which have less elevation above field level. Seats in the south endzone are in sections 16-19 are designated for Texas student seating. Seats here are close to the action, but have very little elevation to see the far end of the field, and require a 180 degree turn to see the large videoboard just behind the seats. Better overall views can be found in the north endzone, where fans can enjoy the action on the field and amazing head on views of the large videoboard. Each section in the north endzone features 52 rows of non-premium seating, followed by 11 rows of Terrace Club seating behind (Rows 54-64). Terrace Club (also known as Chairback Club) seats offer fans a comfortable place to watch the game thanks to chairback seating, minimal head turning to watch the action on the field, and excellent views of the large south endzone videoboard.
