Upper Level Seating: The 300 Level wraps the top tier of the United Center and includes all 300-level sections.
Budget-Friendly: The best spot for finding cheap Bulls or Blackhawks tickets.

Standing Room: SRO areas sit at the top of 300-level sections and usually fill up for prime-time sellouts.

The 300 Level at the United Center is built for the die-hard, value-minded fan. These upper sections have hosted some of Chicago's greatest sports moments — from the Bulls' second three-peat to the Blackhawks' recent dynasty — and they remain the go-to choice for catching a Bulls, Blackhawks, or concert night without paying lower-bowl prices.
300 Level Seating Details
This zone covers all 300 Level sections on the United Center seating chart. Each section has up to 17 rows, with an entrance located near Row 3. Seat 1 is on your right as you look toward the floor from your seats. Rows 1-8 are the picks of the level: Rows 1-2 for the views, Rows 3-8 for having the fewest seats and the easiest access.
Views from the 300 Level
From up here you get a full, sweeping look at the action and some of the best views in the building of the banners in the rafters. For basketball, a sideline section is worth it even if it means a higher row. For hockey, sit in the lowest row possible even if that means giving up center ice. For concerts, check the seating chart for your specific show — the best seats for most shows are at the front of sections 319 and 333.
Good to Know
SRO (standing room only) areas sit at the top of the 300 Level and are typically filled for prime-time sellouts, so plan accordingly if you're after a seat versus a standing spot.

Ten times better for hockey than basketball — These are bargain seats for hockey or basketball, but they are much better for hockey than for basketball. The Hawks shoot twice on this end (or thrice if you go to a triple OT Stanley Cup game), which is a definite bonus. Seeing the action on this end of the ice is very good, while seeing action on the other end of the ice was a little hit or miss due to the angle and distance. Most of the ice was visible (board battles in the nearest corner weren't visible), but for being among the cheapest Blackhawks tickets, it's not bad.
The biggest issue with these seats is being in the middle of the row. If you plan on eating or drinking, pick seats closer to the aisle so you don't have to walk over a bunch of strangers and then jump down a bunch of stairs to get to concessions or restrooms. If you do choose aisle seats, the one drawback is that you probably will have to get up a bunch to let strangers out (there are 20 some-odd seats in a row).
Because it takes a while to get out of the seats and down the stairs, bathroom lines are pretty bad by the time you get there (if you go during intermission), so leave a minute early or try to time it perfectly. There is a bar right at the base of this section, so it's pretty good for partying at the Hawks game.
For a lot of bargain seats, it's better to just watch the game from the comfort of your home, but these seats were surprisingly very good for hockey.

Where are the Standing Room Only seats at a Blackhawks game?
The standing room only areas at the United Center are located at the top of the 300 Level sections.
Open Air Bars
While traditional SRO tickets are at the back of the 300 level, there are SRO spaces at each open-air bar
The United Center also has 4 open air bars which are located at the bottom of Sections 306, 312, 323, and 329 which also offer some limited space for standing room viewing.
Get to the UC Early!
Gates open 90 minutes prior to puck drop, so be sure to get to the stadium early to get the best SRO spots as they will fill quickly and you will not have a very good view unless you can find a spot at the front of an SRO area.
