While you should be able to see regardless of where you stand, we recommend those with standing room tickets arrive early to get the best spots. Those near the center of the arena typically fill up first with fans waiting before doors even open.

The Way Standing Room Only Should Be! — For some reason, a lot of stadiums I've visited recently have reserved SRO areas on the lower levels. The Bulls take it in another direction. Standing Room Only is un-reserved, at the top of the arena and the tickets are always cheaper than other seats. That's what I think of when I think of these kinds of areas.
SRO is cool because there are drink rails set up near center court, and there is a wide walkway behind that you can congregate in. There are also concession stands and restrooms up here.
If you're looking for a social experience, save some money on the tickets and spend it on a few beers at the top of the UC!

Where are the SRO seats located for Hawks games at United Center?
If you have SRO tickets at the United Center, you will be directed to the top of the 300 Level. The SRO areas are first come first serve, and are found behind the last rows of the 300 sections (except for sections 315-320 which back up to the Press Box). We recommend getting to the game as early as possible to secure the best standing room area for the game (either near mid-ice or at closer to the west goal where the Blackhawks shoot twice).

Open Air Bars
While traditional SRO tickets are at the back of the 300 level, there are SRO spaces at each open-air bar
The United Center also has 4 open air bars which are located at the bottom of Sections 306, 312, 323, and 329 which also offer some limited space for standing room viewing.
Get to the UC Early!
Gates open 90 minutes prior to puck drop, so be sure to get to the stadium early to get the best SRO spots as they will fill quickly and you will not have a very good view unless you can find a spot at the front of an SRO area.

Your best options will be the open air bars at Sections 323 and 329, or at the top of any Section from 319-333 as these will be on the side of the ice where the Blackhawks shoot twice.
