RYS Expert Reviews

100 Level

(2026 Review) - Lower Bowl Seating: The 100 Level runs sections 101–122, wrapping the entire lower bowl.  Premium Price Tag: These are usually the most expensive tickets in the building, though the experience shifts by event.  Best Concert Seats: Side sections shine, and when the stage sits at the far end, 113 and 121 are the top seats in the lower level.  Bulls Caution: Skip sections 106 and 117 — they sit directly behind the basket and offer some of the worst views in the arena.  Blackhawks Anywhere: It's tough to find a bad seat here for hockey, from sidelines to corners to ends.  Who Should Sit Here  The 100 Level at the United Center is for fans who want to be close to the action and are willing to pay for it. Whether you're catching a concert, a Bulls game, or a Blackhawks matchup, the lower bowl puts you near the floor or ice — just choose your section carefully, since the best spots change with the event.  100 Level Seating Details  The 100 Level is the lower seating tier and is made up of sections 101 through 122, circling the arena. For concerts, the stage is most often set at the West end, which makes the side sections the strongest picks. For basketball, the sidelines run along the length of the court, while sections 106 and 117 sit behind the baskets. For hockey, benches are in front of sections 101 and 122.  Views from the 100 Level  Your view depends heavily on the event. For concerts with the stage at the far end, sections 113 and 121 keep fans close and comfortable without craning their necks. For Bulls games, sideline seats deliver unobstructed views without the baskets in the way, while 106 and 117 behind the hoops are the ones to avoid. For Blackhawks games, sidelines give good looks to each end, corners provide great angles to the ice, and end sections offer a unique perspective — note that the Blackhawks shoot twice toward the net in front of 117, and the glass may disrupt views in the lower rows.  Pro Tip  If you're buying lower-level seats for a Bulls game, it's worth paying extra to sit along the sideline for a clean, unobstructed view. For a Blackhawks game, almost any 100 Level section works — just aim for a few rows up if you want to stay clear of glass interference.

Seating Notes

  • For most hockey hockey games, these seats are located on the end where the visitors shoot twice
  • Head-on view of the performance for end-stage concerts

Worst Premium Seating in the World!! — My son's grandfather pays over $300 for $250 face value 11th row seats and you can't see over a 3rd of the court. The seats are directly behind the giant NBA hoop stand where most venues put stairs! What a scam the Bulls are running here. If you want to watch the game on the jumbo TV scoreboard from rows 1 to about 25 in floor section 106 (same on the other end) go ahead and buy these totally obstructed view seats. Includes seats 5,6,7,8 from rows 1 to about 25 when you are finally high enough to see something over the hoop stand. Thank you United center and Chicago Bulls.

Directly Facing the Middle of the Stage — Unlike side seating, where you have to turn your body to see the stage, this seat faces exactly the middle of the stage. You are pushed back from the stage pretty far -- especially for being in the 100 level -- but being higher up off the floor in this row means not having to look over tall people.

If you like watching the sound guys do their thing, they're right in front of you.

  • What section is behind the net on the Blackhawks double attack side? 106 or 117?

The Blackhawks will shoot twice on the net in front of section 117. They will defend twice and have pre-game warm-ups at the net in front of section 106.

  • How much does the sound booth obstruct seating in Section 106 for concerts?

The sound booth does obstruct seating in roughly the first rows of Section 106 for end-stage concerts at the United Center. Because the lettered rows (A-M) do not rise from the floor at all, the obstruction is relatively severe AND you have to be concerned about taller fans sitting in front of you. The obstruction is less severe in numbered rows and relatively non-existent after row 5.
