Balcony Seats

(2026 Review) - Upper Level Seating: The 300 Level at TD Garden, known as the Balcony Seats.  Great Atmosphere: Highly regarded for one of the best atmospheres in the building, especially for major events.  View Varies: Sightlines depend heavily on the event and your row — side sections shine for Celtics and concerts alike.  Row Tip: Lower rows put fewer fans in front of you and get you closer to the action.  Amenities Location: Most amenities on this level sit in the corners and on the ends.  Who Should Sit Here  The Balcony Seats at TD Garden are a great fit for fans who want an energetic, top-tier atmosphere without paying for the lower bowl. They work well for Celtics and Bruins games and concerts alike, and they reward fans willing to weigh view against convenience to find their ideal spot.  Balcony Seating Details  Balcony Seats make up the 300 Level, as marked on the TD Garden seating chart. Each Balcony section has 15 rows and up to 24 seats per row. Sections run all the way around, including side sections such as 316 and 317, plus corner and end sections. Lower rows make for quicker, easier trips to the concourse.  Views from the Balcony Seats  Your view depends heavily on the event and your row. For most concerts, the sections closest to the stage have a side view — not for everyone, but the lower rows in sections like 316 and 317 offer an enjoyable angle. For Celtics games, the side sections have the best views, since the basket doesn't interfere with your sightlines the way it can from the corners or ends. For Bruins games, there are plenty of strong options: side views make it easy to follow the fast-paced action, end sections give a video-game-like perspective, and corner sections offer a comfortable angle to center ice. In general, it's worth spending a little more for a lower row, where fewer fans block your view and you're closer to the action.  Best Balcony Seats: Convenience vs. View  The best Balcony Seats aren't necessarily the ones with the best views. Most fans assume the center-most sections are best, but convenience matters too. Rows 3–7 in most sections have the fewest seats, making for easier trips to the concourse, and the bulk of this level's amenities are in the corners and on the ends. So you'll get a better view from the side, but closer amenities nearly everywhere else — worth weighing before you pick your spot.

Seating Notes

  • The Bruins shoot twice towards this end of the ice
  • For basketball games, we recommend these seats for partying and socializing

Front row balcony seats above goal Boston attacks twice — I loved my view of the action in this front row seat in the upper deck. My spot was right next to the tunnel/stairs which allowed easy access to and from the bar between periods. Additionally, I felt that I had more room than normal to spread my legs being in seat 1 because no seats were to my right hand side. I would recommend front row balcony seats to anyone that wants the best view of the puck. I never had to worry about a tall person in front of me plus with how high up the section is it was like I had a birds eye view of the puck. An added bonus came when I realized the Bruins attack the closest goal twice and the furthest only once. My one knock of the section is the fans around me didn’t seem to be near as into the game as I was. Hopefully these will improve as we inch closer to the post-season.
