Great height, great angle, good seats

    Aug 2014

    Football Review
    Section 101, Row 21, Seat 13

To me, what makes seats comfortable at a game is usually the angle to the field. In so many seats you have to contort your body, turn your head, look over and through to see what's going. So, even though these corner seats were pretty far from the other side of the field, they were darn-right comfortable. Fantastic angle for seeing the whole field. and the views inside the 20 at this endzone are unbelievable. Height in Row 21 is pretty good. Maybe 5 or 10 rows higher is a bit better. I definitely wouldn't sit in a lower row, though. But the view of the smaller videoboard is head-on and the whole field is visible. The section seemed good and family-friendly until someone got kicked out. But security was pretty quick to react, and I think it was an isolated incident. Plus it was the 4th quarter of a nite game. Section 114 is the alcohol-free section as it is, so most families should try sitting there anyways.

    • Main Level Corner (Basketball)

      -

Corner seats on the main level will have some of the furthest views on the lowest seating tier for basketball games at U of P Stadium. Only a few of these sections feature the extended riser seating (sections 104, 113, 125, and 134), leaving the remaining sections with the traditional permanent seating. Seats near the front of sections 103, 114, 124, and 135 will have some of the most frustrating viewing angles in the stadium, so we recommend searching elsewhere. This is due to the neighboring sections (closer to the court) having riser setups which will be higher above floor level while being at a similar distance from the back of the lower bowl. As the views from the lower tier won't be anything to write home about unless you're near mid court, we recommend opting for the baseline sections over the corner sections as you at least get a head on view to the videoboards when sitting behind the baskets.

    • Main Level Corner (Football)

      -

Corner seating between the endzone and sidelines provides impressive proximity to the nearby goalines for this Main Level Corner location. On the lowest tier of the stadium, 8 corner sections near the north endzone and 6 corner sections near the south combine to make this unique seating area which provides diagonal views of the action across the field. Fans searching for the best seats in this location should consider the north corner sections first (113-116, 122-125) as they will be able to easily view the large, impressive videoboard in the south endzone (corner sections at the south end will have a more difficult time viewing the videoboard). Most sections in the Main Level Corner sections contain 40 rows of seating running from row 1 (closest) to row 40 (furthest).

      (Section 102) - -

If you can get over the fact that the other side of the field is a million miles away, these seats are actually really great. If I couldn't get midfield seats in Rows 15 or higher, I might pick corner seats like these as some of my favorite seats on the lower level. Row 33 height is fantastic. Yo...
