Answered by an RYS Expert · January 27, 2025Rows 20 and higher in sections 103 through 115 at Sloan Park are located beneath the upper level of the stadium, providing a covered seating area. These rows benefit from the overhang above, offering protection from potential rain, making them a great option for those looking for a more comfortable viewing experience. Additionally, these seats still provide excellent sightlines to the field while offering a reprieve from the elements.
At Sloan Park, the amount of shade varies depending on the time of day and where you sit. The third base side (sections 104-110) is the first to receive shade as the afternoon progresses. On the first base side, some relief can be found in the upper rows of sections 111-115.
Further down the right field line, sections 119-123 have shade structures above them, but the shade shifts throughout the game, so fans in these sections should not expect consistent coverage. The first base side is generally the sunnier side of the stadium.
If you're sitting in the lawn seats, be prepared for full sun exposure, as there is no shade in that area.
