Best Seats For a Concert at Nationwide Arena
The most common seating layout at Nationwide Arena for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 101, Section 117 and Section 118. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: Sections Floor 1, Floor 2, Floor 3 and Floor 4 are Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 102, Section 103 and Section 115. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Section 108 offers a comfortable head-on view for end-stage shows
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 108, Section 109, Section 110 and Section 209 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 101, Section 117, Section 118 and Section 119. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 105 and 113 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 202 and 219.

Obstructed Seating
Avoid Section(s) 116 for Hockey -
Seats in Row Y, especially on the right aisle (near seat 1) may have an obstructed view of the ice.
Know of obstructed seats? Help other fans and let us know!
The worst lower level seats at Nationwide Arena are located in the numbered rows (typically 1-11) behind each basket. These are temporary seats added for basketball and do not rise very much from the court. This makes it difficult to see over fans in front of you - not to mention having the basket in your way. Rows N and above provide the best views and are closest to restrooms and concessions.
Lower Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Corner seats are among the cheapest tickets in the lower bowl. Because the arena was built with hockey in mind, these corner seats do not have great sitelines for basketball games. When choosing seats in the corners, avoid the temptation of sitting in a lower row and instead opt for seats in Rows 20 and above where you'll have the most comfortable views.
Lower Level Sideline (Basketball) Seating
Sideline seating on the lower level begins with Row 1 closest to the court and directly behind where the boards are for a Blue Jackets hockey game. Sections 102 and 105 are behind the player benches, while seats on the opposite side of the court are behind a long press table. Center court Sections 103, 104, 114 and 115 are far superior to adjacent sections because of their location at mid-court. Tickets close to Row T offer a great view of the entire court and are close to the concourse.
Upper Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
Fans with a strict budget will likely be stuck shopping within the upper baseline seating zone for basketball games at Nationwide Arena. Though most of the seats are undesirable, there are a few hidden gems. The front rows (A-F) of Sections 222-226 are the lowest-hanging seats in the upper level - far closer to the action than many corner seats and even some sideline seats. Fans considering anything higher than Row M are advised to consider Turf Terrace seats instead, if available. The views are similar, but the legroom and ease of getting in and out of the seats is much better.
Upper Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Fans will find the cheapest basketball tickets at Nationwide Arena in the Corner and End sections of the upper level. Among these sections, 201, 2015, 215 and 219 offer surprisingly good birds-eye views of the court at a less expensive price than adjacent sidelines sections. The view in other corner sections will start to contend with the basket and should only be considered if the price is right.
Upper Level Sideline (Basketball) Seating
The best seats for budget-conscious fans are in Sections 202-204 and 216-218. Each of the sections provides a clear view of the entire court and scoreboard. For fans who don't care about being super-close to the court, these seats offer a great alternative to lower level corner and end seats that are typically more expensive. Each of these sections begins with Row A at the front and ends with Row Q.
Lower Level Center Ice and Sideline (Hockey) Seating
Lower level center sections offer some of the best views of a hockey game at Nationwide Arena. With Sections 103 and 104 located just behind the player benches, and Sections 114 and 115 behind the penalty box, these seats are a top option for fans that want to be close to all the action.
Lower Level Corner (Hockey) Seating
From the corners of the lower level fans have a very good view of the ice - combining the north to south action from net to net with a unique view from almost behind the net.
Blue Jackets fans will want to be in Sections 106-107 and 111-112 where the home team attacks in Periods 1 and 3. Sections 101, 117, 118 and 122 are located near the net where the visitors shoot twice, and are among the largest sections in the arena with up to 45 rows of seating.
Lower Level End (Hockey) Seating
Sitting behind the net on the lower seating tier is the best place to sit for fans looking to see the game through the eyes of a goalie. Sections 108-110 are an exciting option as these seats will be some of the first to know when the puck makes its way into the goal at the end where the Blue Jackets shoot twice.
Sections at the south end (119-121) are larger with up to 36 lettered rows of seating, running from Row A at the front, and ending at Row NN in the back (with standing room area located just below Row AA). At the north end, sections will have up to 25 single lettered rows of seating.
Upper Corner (Hockey) Seating
With corner seating on the upper level offering some of the farthest and least desirable views, these sections are a good place to find cheap Blue Jackets tickets.
The Huntington Green seats are located in the back rows of Sections 201 and 219, which go on sale at the arena box office just 2 hours before the game, and can get you in for as low as $10 per seat. But with only 250 Huntington Green seat tickets available for each game, we recommend getting to the arena as early as possible if you want the best chance at being one of the lucky few.
Upper End (Hockey) Seating
Sitting behind the net on the upper level gives fans a unique perspective with a viewing height that allows you to see almost every inch of the ice. Watching the game from behind the goal is more suited to the hockey fan who appreciates watching plays develop, but may not the best for the casual fan.
Sections 209-211 are best for Columbus natives as these seats will be closer to the net where the Jackets shoot twice.
Sections in this area have up to 18 lettered rows of seating.
Upper Sideline (Hockey) Seating
Sections near center ice on the upper seating tier are a good option for fans looking for a less expensive option with good views of both nets. Sections 203 and 217 will put you right on the center line, creating a similar view to what you normally see when watching the Blue Jackets on TV. Sections in this area have up to 17 lettered rows of seating, with the entry tunnels located at Row C.
What is Terrace Tables seating like at Nationwide Arena?
Terrace Tables are among a host of premium seating options available at Nationwide Arena. The tables are located between the 100 and 200 levels on the South side of the arena - just below the Founders Suites.
Each terrace table can accommodate four guests in bar-style seating that overlooks the arena. Tables are outfitted with a personal television screen and fans will receive in-seat wait service for select events.
Nationwide Arena Terrace Tables are an ideal solution for entertaining guests and keeping an eye on the game
Pictured here are three separate sections of Terrace Tables below the Founders Suites. The Terrace Tables offer a unique experience for watching the game. Instead of traditional seats, fans sit at a bar top counter where they can place food and beverages while watching the game.
This functioning civil war era cannon shoots off loud blasts throughout the game at Nationwide arena. Fans are encouraged to find the cannon outside section 101 before the game for a picture next to the replica.
