Section 409 at Nationals Park

(2026 Review) - Highest Seating Tier: The Gallery Level is the uppermost seating area at Nationals Park, made up of the 300-Level (Gallery) and 400-Level (Upper Gallery) sections.    Lower Gallery Has Better Views: Sections in the 300-Level (Rows A–J) sit slightly closer to the field and typically offer stronger sightlines than the Upper Gallery.    Upper Gallery Has More Rows: The 400-Level sections run Rows A–N, making them larger but positioned farther from the field.    Best Sections Behind Home Plate: Sections 310–316 are the most desirable due to their centered views of home plate and the stage for concerts.    Strong Value Option: These sections provide views similar to the Champions Club MVP seats below, often at a significantly lower price.    Who Should Sit Here  Gallery Level seats are best for fans looking for affordable tickets with clear views of the entire field. These seats are popular with fans who prioritize value over proximity and don’t mind sitting higher in the stadium.  They are also a solid option for fans attending concerts at Nationals Park, particularly in the sections behind home plate that provide a centered view of the stage.  Gallery Location & Details  The Gallery Level is the highest seating tier at Nationals Park and is divided into two levels.  The Gallery (300-Level) is the lower portion of the upper deck and consists of sections with rows running A–J. These sections sit slightly closer to the field and typically offer stronger sightlines.  Above this area is the Upper Gallery (400-Level), which includes sections with rows running A–N. These sections are larger and positioned farther from the playing surface.  Because of the stadium’s design, the 300-Level sections sit closer to the field but are more exposed to the elements, while the 400-Level sits slightly higher with larger seating sections.  Gallery Level Views  Views from the Gallery Level provide a full perspective of the entire field.  Sections located directly behind home plate (310–316) are the most desirable on this level. From these seats, fans get a centered view of the infield and pitching matchups, making them some of the best seats in the upper deck.  For concerts, these sections also offer head-on views of the stage, making them a popular option when field seating is unavailable or too expensive.  Because of their central location, the viewing angle from these sections can feel similar to the Champions Club MVP seats below, though from a much higher vantage point and typically at a much lower price.  Sun & Weather Exposure  Unlike many lower seating levels, the 300-Level Gallery sections do not have an overhead structure above them.  As a result, these seats are more exposed to sun, wind, and rain, especially during day games. Fans attending afternoon games should be prepared for direct sunlight, particularly during the early innings.
