Seats Were on Risers - Decent Views

    Sep 2013

    Football Review
    Section 540, Row 2, Seat 1

Interestingly the first 3 rows of this section are on a set of metal risers, and didn't appear to be a permanent part of the stadium. However the elevation between the rows was still very good and from Row 2 I had no problem seeing over the people in front of me (when they were there). The leg room was more than ample and although it was weird to be on these temorary looking rows, the seats were very comfortable and it was very easy to get to and from the concourse from the front three rows here. A speaker mounted at the front of the section blocks the view of the near corner endzone, but otherwise its a good view of the field from behind the endzone and a nice positioning to see the scoreboard at the opposite endzone.

    • 500 Level

      -

The 500-Level goes around the entire stadium at M&T Bank Stadium. It is known for being very steep, so fans should be considerate of the row when searching for tickets. The entry tunnels are at the front of the section, with three steps between each row.  Those sitting in rows 15 and above should be considerate about how many trips they may be able to take to the concourse for concessions or restrooms. 500-Level Weather Considerations Windy days: avoid sections 506, 507, 519, 520, 533, 534, 546 and 547 Daytime: The sun will be to the back of sections 521-532Best for a hot and sunny day  Afternoon/Evening: The sun will set behind sections 535-546Best for comfortable viewing

    • Upper Concourse Endzone (Football)

      -

The east and west endzone upper decks are closer to the field and lower to the ground than the sideline seating decks. This gives the front rows in these sections relatively good views of the field for a fraction of the price of sideline seating. Avoid the temptation of buying seats in the top rows of the endzone. While the price might be right, you may need a knee surgery or two after walking up the steep and plentiful stairs. For fans needing another reason not to purchase the top rows, these seats are among the windiest and coldest in the stadium. Conversely, the east endzone (511-515) gets pounded by the sun. That may be good in November, but watch out during early-season games.

      (Section 538) - -

It is one helluva hike up the stairs to get to these seats. If you sit here, don't plan on moving a lot to get concessions. If you do, you'll spend half the game going up and down the stairs. The view is kind of cool as you look down on the field, but the players are about a mile away. You are lo...
