RYS Expert Reviews

Behind the Stage

(2026 Review) - Behind-Stage Seating: Sold only for select shows at Madison Square Garden, with a view to the stage but likely obstructions.  Expect the Performer's Back: The performance faces away, so you'll spend most of the show looking at the artist's back.  Screens May Be Out of View: Content or visuals projected on screens may not be visible, and parts of the stage can be blocked by lighting or equipment.  View Varies by Level: The 100 level, 200 level, and Madison Club offer the clearest looks; the 400 level is the least desirable.  Who Should Sit Here  These seats at Madison Square Garden suit budget-minded fans who mainly want to be in the building for the energy of a sold-out show and don't mind a compromised view. If seeing every screen visual and facing the performer head-on matters to you, look elsewhere.  Behind the Stage Location & Details  Behind-stage seats sit directly behind the performance and are only released for some shows. They span multiple levels, and the experience differs greatly depending on where you land:  100 & 200 Levels and Madison Club: The clearest views of the stage from behind.  300 Level Balcony: Clearer views, but steep down to the stage due to the height — fans with a fear of heights may want to avoid it.  400 Level: The window to the stage is greatly restricted by the height of the level and the overhang above, making it the least desirable spot behind the stage.  Views from Behind the Stage  All behind-stage seats face the back of the performance, so the majority of the show is viewed from behind the artist. Portions of the stage may be obstructed by lighting or equipment, and projected screen content may fall out of view. Clarity improves in the lower levels and Madison Club, while the 300 level trades a clearer sightline for a steep angle and the 400 level suffers most from overhang.

Madison Club

(2026 Review) - Location: West end of Madison Square Garden, just above the 100 level in sections M59–M66.  All-Inclusive Food (Knicks & Rangers Games): Premium food and non-alcoholic beverages are included for Knicks, Rangers, and select events; alcohol is available for purchase at the club bar.  Club Lounge: Chef's table with signature dishes, a private bar, and lounge seating for pre-game and intermission.  In-Seat Perks: Oversized, padded seats with HD monitors (one per four seats) and in-seat wait service.  Rangers Advantage: Located at the end of the ice the Rangers attack twice, so you get more up-close scoring chances.  Who Should Sit Here  The Madison Club is built for fans who want a premium, low-hassle night at Madison Square Garden. It suits Rangers fans who want close-up looks at scoring plays, groups that value a lounge to socialize in, and anyone who prefers included food and full wait service over trekking to concessions. It's a comfortable, upscale option for game nights and select events.  Madison Club Seating Details  The Madison Club sits just above the 100 level on the west end of the arena, spanning sections M59 through M66 on the seating chart. Seats are oversized and padded, with HD monitors positioned one per every four seats and in-seat wait service so you don't miss the action. Fans also have access to the club lounge, which offers seating throughout for relaxing before the game and during intermissions.  Views from the Madison Club  For Rangers games, these seats are at the end of the ice where the team attacks twice, giving you strong chances at close scoring views. For Knicks games the view is less ideal, sitting behind the basket, though the slight elevation still delivers good lower-level looks at the court. For most concerts at MSG, Madison Club seats are behind the stage, but they remain a comfortable club option with wider, padded seating for the shows these tickets are sold for.  What's Included  Chef's Table: Signature food options included for Knicks, Rangers, and select events.  Private Club Bar: Alcoholic drinks available for purchase.  In-Seat Wait Service: Food and drink brought directly to your seat.  HD Monitors: One per four seats for replays of the action.  Good to Know  Rangers fans get the best of this zone, thanks to the attack-twice end of the ice. If you're attending a non-Rangers or non-Knicks event, check the seller notes for the amenities that apply to that specific event.  Disclaimer: All-inclusive premium food and non-alcoholic beverages apply to Knicks and Rangers home games and select events. Alcohol is available for purchase and is not included. Amenities may vary for concerts and other events. Confirm what's included for your specific event before purchasing.

Seating Notes

  • The Rangers shoot twice towards this end of the ice
  • Premium seating area as part of the Madison Club
