100 Level Corner (Basketball)

- Fans sitting in the corner sections will find better views and angles to the court in higher rows. Each section has 23 or fewer rows, so targeting rows 15 and higher will give you a quality view of the court and will have you closer to the concourse tunnel.

100 Level Corner (Concert)

- Corner seating on the 100 level of MSG for is an inexpensive way to be on the lower level for a concert. For a traditional end stage layout, these seats aren't as close to the stage as side seating and don't enjoy the same head-on view that end seating offers. Something to consider when purchasing corner seats is that they're meant for basketball and hockey, so they're angled towards the center of the floor and not a stage. Sections 104 and 120 have a more comfortable angle than 105 and 119.

100 Level Corners (Hockey)

- These sections do not come down all the way to the ice because Rinkside seating occupies the first row, but they still provide a very good view of the ice -- especially the puck battles deep in the corner. All corner sections will have to deal with the glass partitions distracting part of your view. Rows 8 and below will be looking through the glass the entire time, while rows 9-15 will be most distracted by looking over and through the glass depending on where the puck is. The Rangers shoot twice towards Section 109, 110 and 114-115.

Good Perspective From the Lower Corner — My seat was near the very top of the section on the lower level, but still had very good views with a nice seating angle towards the center of the stage. Thankfully I was just 5 seats in off the aisle as it was a very long row, and I imagine it would be pretty difficult to get in and out from the seats in the middle of the row.

For the money, the seats offer a pretty good view, although I wonder if a low row in the 200 level seats above would be an even better value. There isn't much difference in the seating height and distance to the stage, and the cost is probably more affordable than on the 100 level.

The sigh lines from 104 were pretty nice — Sound is usually decent but only if there is a good Front of House guy working the concert as The Garden is not the most acoustically pleasant arena.

Seating and Ticket Q&A

For concerts at MSG, how does Section 104 Row 16 compare to 200 level side sections?

Note: this question and answer assume an end-stage setup with the stage set-up in front of lower level Section 112.

The main difference between section 104 and the 200 level side sections is the angle to the stage and your resulting view. From section 104, your seats will point towards stage right, and you will be able to see all the action on the stage with minimal head-turning.

In the 200 level side sections, you are sitting higher up and your seats will naturally be looking directly across the floor at the opposite side of the Garden. For sections farther away from the stage, this will result in having to turn your head to see the stage. For other sections, like 212 and 223, this won't be an issue and you'll have a very good view.

Overall, tickets in Section 104 will be better than most of the 200 level, except the front rows of the side sections closest to the stage.
