South endzone seats closest to the field contain more than 20 rows of seating, with Row A just mere feet from the field. Fans seated closer to Row V will be close to the concourse tunnel, restrooms and concessions.
Lower North Endzone Seating
Lower North Endzone seats contain 10 rows of bleacher-style seating. While close to the field, these seats are below the massive videoboard and are too low to see the whole field clearly. These seats are typically reserved for students.
Lower Sideline Seating
Lower sideline seats at Lane Stadium include sections 1-20. These sections contain up to 75 rows of seating, with Row A being the closest to the field and Row ZZZ being the farthest away.
Besides for the club seats, all seats are bleacher style without a back. Odd sections 1-11 should come with a bottle of sunscreen, as they are among the sunniest in the stadium.
Upper Level Sideline Seating
Not for the faint of heart, there are so many rows of seating on the East side of Lane stadium that the rows in the Upper Sideline are labeled with a number and a letter (eg: 4K). Fans are advised to sit as close to Row 4A as possible. These seats offer a good bird's eye view of the field and are close to the concourse tunnel.
Higher rows may come with as many as 45 stairs up and down from the concourse tunnel. These upper sideline seats are not covered from the elements and are among the sunniest seats in college football.
Virginia Tech student seating is found in some upper sections, including 21-27.
Upper North Endzone Seating
Lettered sections in the North Endzone are below the videoboard and disconnected from the rest of the stadium. The first row (Row A) is typically reserved for handicapped guests.
For most sideline sections, Lane Stadium uses even/odd seat numbers. Therefore, even numbered seats are next to each-other on one side of the aisle and odd numbered seats are on the other side of the aisle.
