Recent renovations to Jack Trice Stadium led to the closing off of the South Endzone and creating seats where there previously had been none. Sections 17, 17, 24 and 25 are new sections and offer a unique perspective of the game. Choose seats in rows 30 and above to have the best views of the entire field and to be close to the concourse.
Lower Level Sideline Seating
Lower level seating on the sideline are among the best seats at Jack Trice Stadium. Most seating is on metal bleachers, while seats close to the 50 yard-line offer the additional support of a bleacher with back support.
Beginning in the 2017 season, Iowa State is switching sidelines to be on the West side of the field in front of sections 6-11.
Sections 28-39 will have the sun set in their eyes, although rows 33 and higher are usually covered from the upper deck overhang. Each of these lower level sections contains more than 30 rows of seating.
Upper Level Corner Seating
Similar to the new seats on the lower level, a dozen new sections were added in the South endzone on the upper level. Previously, all upper level seats at Jack Trice Stadium were on the sideline. All of the new seats have an undesirable corner or endzone view, but they'll also be the cheapest reserved tickets in the stadium.
While it may be tempting to choose Sections S or T, Sections M, N, Q and P have a better angle towards midfield and will offer more comfortable views of the action. Sections N and M will even help you avoid the setting sun for games that go into the late afternoon.
Upper Level Sideline Seating
The upper deck at Jack Trice Stadium is a wide-open seating location with little to no cover and shade. Rows 20 and above in Sections D-F do get relief from the Press Box when the sun sets in the late afternoon - although that may not be a good thing in early November.
Each upper level section has 30 rows of seats, with the tunnel entrance being close to row 1.
