Who Should Sit Here
Floor seats are ideal for fans who want to be as close to the stage as possible and prioritize proximity over scenery. This is a great option for those who want a more traditional concert experience focused on the performance rather than the landscape.
Floor Location & Layout
The Floor at The Gorge Amphitheatre is located at the bottom of the venue, directly in front of the stage and below the steep lawn.
This area is divided into Sections 101–103, with Section 102 positioned in the center and Sections 101 and 103 on either side. Because of its location, the Floor provides the closest reserved seating option in the venue.
All seating is set up on a flat concrete surface, which differs significantly from the sloped lawn behind it.
Views from Floor Seats
Views from the Floor are excellent in terms of proximity, but come with a few trade-offs.
Section 102 offers the best overall experience with a centered, head-on view of the stage. In contrast, Sections 101 and 103 can have more angled sightlines, especially toward the outer seats, which may limit visibility of certain stage elements like video screens.
Because the floor is flat, row selection is critical. Fans seated farther back may find it harder to see over those in front, especially if others are standing. For the best sightlines, aim for rows closer to the front of the section.
Seating & Comfort
Seats on the Floor are metal folding chairs, which are more basic compared to other seating options in the venue.
While not the most comfortable for long periods, many fans choose to stand during the performance, especially in high-energy shows. Fans who prefer a more relaxed and cushioned experience may want to consider Box Seats instead.
Scenic Trade-Off
One of the biggest trade-offs with Floor seating is the loss of the iconic Gorge scenery.
Because you are positioned at stage level, much of the Columbia River and canyon backdrop — which is visible from the lawn — is blocked from view. For many fans, this is a key part of the Gorge experience.
However, Floor ticket holders can access the lawn at any time, making it possible to enjoy the scenery before or during the show. A popular strategy is to visit the lawn during opening acts or sunset, then return to your seats for the main performance.
Pit Setup (When Applicable)
For select shows, the Floor may be converted into a General Admission Pit.
In this setup, all seats are removed and replaced with a standing-room-only area. Fans can move freely, and positioning is determined by arrival time. Those who arrive early will have the best chance to secure spots near the front rail or center stage.
