RYS Expert Reviews

Orchestra

- The primary seating area at Fox Theatre is the Orchestra. With more than 35 rows of seats, these are the largest sections in the venue. Best Seats in the Orchestra  The first ten rows of sections 3 and 4 are also known as Prime Orchestra seats. Guests will have a centered view from an incredibly close perspective. The next best area is often a debate between other centered seats and closer seats in a side section. Guests on the shorter side may want to sit in a closer row to avoid having to look over taller guests, while others usually prefer something near the center. Rows AA-DD are near the back of each section and are often over-looked. We think these seats provide good value because they have the most elevation in the Orchestra and are easy to get to and from the lobby and its  Obstructed Views in the Orchestra   Most views from the Orchestra are entirely unobstructed, but there are two areas that you may want to re-consider:   Although they're relatively close to the stage, the front rows of sections 1 and 6 should be avoided. These seats have a sharp angle to the stage and some parts of some performances may not be visible.   The back rows of all Orchestra sections are underneath an overhang. It's not as claustrophobic or obstructive as can be found in other theatres. Never-the-less, shows the feature airborne theatrics can be partially blocked.
