Only about 15% of all seats at Empower Field offer some type of shade or cover. Below is a sample of seats that are at least partially covered or shaded at different times of the day. To search for tickets or to find out if your seats are protected from the sun or rain, follow the link for the seat finder.
Closest to the field of play and located nearest to midfield are Lower Level Sideline seats. Sections 102-108 are located on the west sideline along the Broncos side, and Sections 120-126 are located along the visiting team sidelines.
All lower sections feature roughly 40 rows of seating across two tiers. In the lower tier are rows 1-20. These seats are ideal for fans who want to get as close to the field possible and almost be within arm's reach of their favorite player.
Above row 20 are designated spaces for wheelchair accessible seating. These rows are sometimes known as row A and B. This area is located directly at the section entrance and splits the sections into its tiers. On the official Broncos seating chart, these rows in sections 104-106 and 122-124 are also known as Prime seats.
If you enter a section and go up the stairs, you'll be in the upper seating tier. This area contains rows 24-41 and is home to some of the best views in the entire stadium. Though they're not as close to the field as rows 1-20, these seats are at a higher elevation, which gives them better views of the whole field. Fans will also find cover and shade in the last five rows of these sections, further cementing their status as the best seats at Empower Field at Mile High.
Lower endzone seats are located on either side of Empower Field, but only the closed-off north endzone (Sections 111-117) will have the luxury of being partially covered in the last few rows.
Like all seating in the lower bowl, endzone sections feature more than 40 rows of seating split by wheelchair-accessible seating between rows 20 and 24. Rows 1-5 don't provide exceptional views of the whole field, but they're highly desired for being within 25 feet of the back of the endzone and having the best views of scoring plays in their respective direction.
Other popular sections in the endzone include 115/116 and 134/135. The Broncos come out of the tunnel between 134 and 135, while the visiting team enters on the opposite side of the field. These sections get especially crowded before and after the game.
300 Level Endzone seating is located on the second tier up from the field of play and behind the north endzone. Fans in these seats will have a great view of the field and nearby endzone, as well as the largest video board at the stadium which sits above the seating sections at the opposite endzone.
Sections in this location contain 19 numbered rows with row 1 being closest to the field of play and row 5 closest to the section entrance. To be covered by the 300 level overhang, sit above row 10.
Corner seating on the lowest level of Empower Field at Mile High offers relatively good sightlines towards midfield, especially in the upper rows.
Upon entering one of these sections, you'll be at the wheelchair-accessible row which splits the upper and lower rows. Heading down the stairs towards the field field will have you in rows 1-20, while going up the stairs places you near rows 24-41. While the lower rows are almost too close to the field, the upper rows offer comfortable views of all the action.
For the most comfortable looks at a videoboard, choose corner sections on the north side of the field. And for an even better experience, choose a seat in one of the last five rows to be covered and for the chance to be shdaed.
Although the upper deck is not a full bowl, there is seating available in all four corners of this level. Fans will find the corner seats on the north side of Empower Field to be superior to similar sections on the south side.
Because the south side is the open end of the stadium, it is more susceptible to wind and blowing rain or snow. For fans in and around sections 500 and 542, this can be a miserable experience.
Another perk of being on the closed side of the stadium for north ticketholders is the ability to look through the open end towards Rocky mountains. The stadium was purposely left open to afford fans these vistas.
To avoid having to manage as many as 30 rows of stairs, purchase tickets in the lowest row possible where the section entrance is located.
Sections 516-525 comprise upper endzone seating which gives fans a more bird's eye view of the action from in front and behind the line of scrimmage.
Fans will find good views of the largest video board in the stadium and be at a decent proximity to scoring at the near endzone. However, many fans will struggle to get a clear view of the action as the ball approaches the opposite endzone.
Sections in this seating zone have 23 to 35 rows, with more rows per section as you get closer to being directly behind the field goal posts. Rows 1-3 are occupied by accessible seating and the entrance to each section is near row 4.
The upper level at Empower Field is among the most intimidating seating decks in all of pro football. With up to 36 rows of seats in some sections, these enormous sections are not for the faint of heart (and not for those with a fear of heights).
As you enter each section from the concourse, you'll enter at either row 4 or row 7 and walk up or down to your seats. Despite the railings, the stairs are steep and difficult to navigate. Fans with difficulty walking stairs or who make frequent trips to the concourse are advised to sit below row 15.
For fans seated in one of the lower rows, they'll find a quality view of the field that is almost identical to the more expensive club level seats just below.
Accessible seating can be found in the first row of most upper level sections and is accessible through its own stair-free tunnel.
Through its many name changes, Mile High Stadium has remained one of the largest stadiums in the NFL. The home of the Broncos features three main seating levels, each with at least 20 rows of seating. The sheer size of the venue and its seating options can make it difficult to know what to expect when it comes to finding a great view.
As with most football stadiums, you'll find that the best views come from the seats closest to the 50-yardline. These seats will give you the best chance to see side-to-side with ease and will give you a perspective similar to what you're used to seeing on TV.
In the lower level - where most fans will begin their search - we recommend saving money by choosing a seat in the highest row possible. Specifically, we like rows 28 and above for the best overall views from the lower seating bowl.
The entrance tunnel in these 100 level sections is located near row 21. Seats just above this row can often become blocked by people spilling into or out of the tunnel. This is why we recommend sitting in one of the last 10 rows. Meanwhile, if you're seated below the tunnel in rows 1-20, you might actually be too close to the field. The players may obstruct your view or you may have to turn your head sharply to see scoring plays at the goal line.
Midfield seating is also available on the 300 level, although all of these sections are club seats. Despite their high price-tag, NFL club seats usually have a reputation for providing the best views. While this is partially true at Empower Field, we think that the club seats are elevated a little too high for our liking. They're certainly great seats - but given the high price point - we only recommend the lower rows. If you're sitting in a higher row of the 300s, you may as well save a lot of money and get a seat at the front of the 500s.
Sit on the West Sideline in the 500 Level
Within the 500s we recommend seats along the west sideline. In addition to being on the Broncos side of the field, these seats will have the sun at their back. Thus, when the sun is setting during the afternoon, it will not be setting into your eyes like it will be on the opposite side of the field. With entrance tunnels near row 8, our top picks are in rows 1-8 of sections 505-510.
Unfortunately for Broncos fans, the videoboards at Empower Field leave a lot to be desired. The stadium features two small videoboards high above two corners of the 500 level - and one main videoboard in the south endzone.
If you're not sitting near midfield, you'd do well to find a seat on the north side of the field. These sections have the best head-on view of the large videoboard - and because the stadium is closed on this side - it's not nearly as windy as south endzone seating. We really like the lower rows of sections 321-325 where you get a unique video-game-like view of the field.

In the upper level sections which have ADA accessible seating located at the front of the section, the views from Row 4 will have to compete with a guard railing located just in front of the seats. To avoid the obstruction, you may find yourself leaning forward most of the game to have a clear view over the railing. For the best clearance, we recommend sitting a few rows higher (Rows 7-10) to avoid having the railing come into your line of sight.
