Who Should Sit Here

Reserved Pavilion Seating is ideal for fans who want a guaranteed seat with protection from the elements. This area is best for those balancing comfort, proximity, and view quality.

Reserved Seating Location & Layout

All sections 101 through 111 are located under the pavilion canopy, making them the primary reserved seating area at Cynthia Woods Mitchell Pavilion.

These sections provide assigned seating and full coverage from the roof, which is a major advantage during hot or rainy shows. However, the structure that supports the roof introduces one of the biggest factors when choosing seats—pillars.

In Front of the Pillars (Sections 101103)

Sections 101–103 sit closest to the stage and are positioned in front of the first set of support pillars, meaning they have no obstruction concerns.

Section 102 is centered and offers some of the best views in the venue, particularly around the middle rows. Sections 101 and 103 are slightly angled but still highly desirable due to their proximity.

This area also includes the Pit and VIP Box seating near the stage, reinforcing it as the most premium part of the pavilion.

Behind the Pillars (Sections 104111)

Moving farther back, the first set of pillars appears along the aisle splits behind Sections 101–103. These can impact sightlines in portions of the sections behind them, particularly in Sections 106–109.

That said, not all seats in this range are equal. Sections 107 and 108 still offer strong, centered views, though fans should be aware of a walkway in front of the first row where foot traffic can occasionally interfere. Sitting a few rows higher can help avoid this issue.

For those looking to avoid obstructions altogether, Sections 105 and 110 are strong options. These sections maintain clear sightlines while still offering a good angle to the stage, along with convenient access to restrooms and concessions nearby.

Views from Pavilion Seating

Views vary significantly depending on both section and row.

Closer sections provide a more immersive experience, while middle sections offer a better overall perspective. In the rear sections, elevation helps maintain visibility, but pillar placement becomes more important when choosing seats.

Because of the canopy, lighting and weather are rarely concerns, making this one of the most consistent viewing areas in the venue.

How to Choose the Right Pavilion Section

  • Choose 101103 for the best overall experience with no obstructions

  • Look at Section 102 for the most centered view

  • Consider 105 or 110 if you want to avoid pillars in the mid-sections

  • Sit a few rows above walkways in 107108 to reduce distractions
