Roughly half of all seats at Coastal Credit Union Music Park offer some type of shade or cover. Below is a sample of seats that are at least partially covered or shaded at different times of the day. The cheapest reserved tickets are found in side sections 4, 5, 8 and 9. Each of these sections is covered by the roof through about Row Q. Buying tickets in rows R-Z and AA through HH will leave you at the mercy of Mother Nature and there's a small chance your view will be obstructed by one of the pillars holding up the roof.
The lower rows of Section 5 and 8 offer good views and are actually a better alternative to the back rows of head-on Sections 6 and 7.
