The Carrier Dome hosts several unique events, from concerts to basketball and football. When picking seats, it's important to understand the event's seating chart and the different available ticket options.
Best Seats for Football
For Syracuse football games, the majority of the stadium is usually open. The best seats - Premium A-D- are located in the 100 and 300 Level sections closest to midfield.
Among the cheaper tickets, we recommend endzone seats on the 200 Level or the front rows of sections on the 300 Level. Your view may be a little higher up, but the seats are easily accessible and amenities are closer by.
Best Seats for Basketball
Seating options at the Carrier Dome change significantly for basketball games. The court runs perpendicular to the football field. As a result, side seats for football become end seats for basketball and vice versa.
As with football, the top-tier tickets are usually labeled Premium Seats. Among these, sections 107-110 and 122-125 have the best views. But we prefer 107-110 because they are permanent seats (sections 122-125 are temporary seats only for basketball) and have better access to the concourse.
Aisle Seating
The Carrier Dome uses aisles for numbering. This means that an aisle splits a like-numbered section in the middle.
Select seats in sections 317 and 318 are Family Section seats for Syracuse basketball games. No-alcohol is allowed in these seats.
For Syracuse football games, select seats in sections 332 and 333 make up the family section. These seats do not allow alcohol and the seats are padded.
When looking towards the field:
Syracuse Bench - The Syracuse players sit in front of Section 108
Visitor Bench - The visiting team sits in front of Section 109
Syracuse Sideline - The Syracuse sideline is in front of Section 101, Section 102 and Section 130
Visitor Sideline - The visiting team sideline is in front of Section 115, Section 116 and Section 117
For Syracuse basketball games, student seating can be found in sections 101-104 and 302-304.
Sections 103-107 are reserved for Syracuse students for football games. Additional overflow seating is found in upper level sections 304-307.
Corner seating on the lower tier keeps fans close to the action with a unique perspective from between the sidelines and endzones. Higher seating rows are the best bet here as the elevation will help with views to the far end of the field.
Each section begins with Row A at the front, and ends at Row T in the back. Seats in the southwest corner (Sections 105-106) are designated areas for the Syracuse student fans.
Fans will find some of the most affordable lower level tickets behind the endzones at the Carrier Dome. Views of the far end of the field can be difficult from the lowest seating rows, so opt for seats near the top for the best views as well as close seating to the section entry tunnels.
100 Level Endzone sections begin with Row A at the front, and end with Row T at the back. Student seating is located in Sections 107, 108, and the right half of Section 109.
With sideline viewing angles and close proximity to the field, seats in the 100 Level Sideline sections are among the best options available for football games at the Carrier Dome. The south sideline is reserved for the home team making Sections 101-102 and 130 a great place to be for Syracuse fans. The visiting team bench is located at the north sideline just in front of Sections 115-117.
Each section here has 27 lettered rows of seating, running from front to back with Rows A-Z, and ZZ. Student seating can be found in Sections 103, 104, and the left half of Section 102 when sitting in the lower level sideline.
Seating on the 200 level will have the best viewing height for football games at the Carrier Dome, but with the Suites and Press Box taking up the sideline views on this level, the next best option from the second seating tier is here in the corners.
Sections are much smaller than anywhere else in the dome, with no more than 13 lettered rows of seating in each.
Great viewing height, small seating sections, and no head turning required makes seats in the 200 Level Endzone some of the most comfortable for watching a football game at the Carrier Dome.
Each section features just 13 lettered rows of seating, starting with Row A at the front.
On the upper seating tier, corner seating gives a unique perspective of the game from an excellent seating height that allows fans to see all areas of the field with ease. Each section has 22 rows of seating (Rows A-V) and entry tunnels at the very front.
The Family Zone is located in Rows M and higher of the left half of section 332 and the right half of section 333, where fans will have padded seating and alcohol is strictly prohibited.
If you're searching for cheap football tickets at the Carrier Dome, the 300 Level Endzone is the place to look. Views are still decent on the upper seating tier, but as many fans prefer a traditional sideline view, tickets here do not have as much demand.
Each section here has 22 lettered rows of seats, starting with Row A at the front and ending at Row V. Entry tunnels are located at the very front of the sections.
Even though they're located on the highest seating tier, seats on the 300 level still feel close to the field and have some excellent views especially near midfield.
Sections have up to 27 lettered rows of seating (Rows A-Z, ZZ), with the entry tunnels located at the very front of the section.
The seats behind the baskets on the lower level of seating form the 100 Level Baseline seating location. This location is close to the action but will not have great views because of the basket that obstructs much of the view.
It would be a good idea to try and sit closer to the center of the court if you want to have a good view of the entire game. It may even be worth it to sit on a higher level if you can sit closer to the middle because the views from there will likely still be better. If you would rather be close to the action and do not care as much about the view then this area is the perfect place for you.
The 100 Level Corner seating location is close to the action on the lowest level of seating but does not have the best angle to see the game. The basket may obstruct some of the views on the near side of the court and the opposite end may seem like it is far away and difficult to see.
Despite these potential flaws, this is still a good area to sit because you will be close to the action and being able to experience basketball from up close is a very enjoyable experience.
The views from this location will be better than those behind the basket but sitting closer to center court would improve the views even more.
Along both sidelines on the lowest level of seating is the 100 Level Preferred Sideline seating location. This location is home to some of the best seats in the stadium due to their close proximity to the action and center court.
Tickets in this area are likely to be some of the most expensive in the stadium, but are worth it if you are looking for one of the best views or if you want to impress a guest.
For basketball games, the 200 Level at the Carrier Dome is along one baseline and extends into two corners of the stadium. The views will be good because fans should have a clear view of the whole court and the slight elevation will improve the view a bit as well.
The sections in this location are some of the smallest in the stadium so fans will be able to easily get to the concourses for refreshments.
The 300 Level Corner Ends seating location is a unique area at the Carrier Dome. Since the Carrier Dome is also the football stadium for Syracuse, a lot of the seating is not used for basketball. This location is in an area that is not in line with the basketball court and is off to the side.
These sections are usually only open for Duke vs. Syracuse games or other premier matchups. Given their position off to the side, tickets in these sections are more reasonably priced than other areas of the dome.
Along one sideline of the Carrier dome on the highest level of seating is the 300 Level Side seating location. For basketball, this location is home to some of the best seats on the upper level because they have views that are close to being aligned with the middle of the court.
These seats are a good option for fans who are looking to have good views of all of the action but do not want to spend the money necessary to get seats on one of the lower levels. This location is far away from the court but the ability to see the whole court clearly from this area makes this spot a decent place to sit.
