Balcony Level

(2026 Review) - Upper-Level Tier: The Balcony Level is split into the Upper Balcony and Lower Balcony at Ball Arena.  Best Access: Odd-numbered sections make up the first three rows of the balcony and are reached easily from the concourse.  Steep-Stairs Caveat: Even-numbered sections are reached by two sets of stairs — the second is incredibly steep, so plan accordingly.  Aim Low: In every section, target the lowest row you can afford for the best sightlines and easiest access.  Multi-Event Advice: Seating strategy differs for concerts, Avalanche games, and Nuggets games — details below.  Who Should Sit Here  The Balcony Level at Ball Arena suits budget-minded fans who still want a solid vantage point over the action. It's a great fit if you're happy in the upper tier and willing to pick your section carefully — sticking to odd-numbered sections and the lowest rows gets you the smoothest access and the best experience for the price.  Balcony Level Seating Details  This is the upper seating tier at Ball Arena, divided into the Upper Balcony and Lower Balcony. Odd-numbered sections occupy the first three rows of the balcony and are accessed directly from the concourse. Even-numbered sections require two sets of stairs — the second being very steep — so factor that in when choosing your seats. Wherever you sit, aim for the lowest row available.  Views from the Balcony Level  What you see depends on the event:  Concerts: Each show has a different seating chart, but most stages are set up in front of sections 134–140. When that's the case, side sections near 301 and 343 give you the best views of the performance.  Avalanche Games: Sections near center ice offer the best overall views; corner sections in a lower row are the best value; and end sections near 360–364 put you with fellow Avs fans, where Colorado attacks in the first and third periods.  Nuggets Games: For basketball, aim for unobstructed sightlines and good angles to the court. Avoid seats directly behind the basket and corner sections that aren't angled toward center court. Seats near center court are the pick if the budget allows; otherwise choose the lowest row possible, where you'll stay close to concourse amenities.  Good to Know  Across every event, the same rule holds: get as low as your budget allows and lean toward the odd-numbered sections for easy concourse access. It's the simplest way to upgrade your experience without moving to a pricier level.

Seating Notes

  • For most hockey hockey games, these seats are located on the end where the visitors shoot twice
  • Head-on view of the performance for end-stage concerts

Great spot! — These seats are at the back of their section which is so nice because you don’t have anyone directly behind you, and you get a great view of the stage!
