RYS Expert Reviews
Sideline
(2026 Review) -
Best Field Views: Sideline seating offers the best views of the field, positioned between the end zones.
Sections Included: East side sections 3-10 (behind the visitor bench) and Duke side sections 23-30.
Chairback Seats: Sections 4-9 on the east side feature chairback seating, among the most sought-after seats in the stadium.
Sun Caveat: None of these seats are covered; the east side is fully exposed and sits directly in the late-afternoon sun.
Who Should Sit Here
The sideline sections at Wallace Wade Stadium are ideal for fans who want the clearest, most complete look at the action between the goal lines. If comfort matters, aim for the chairback seats on the east side. If you'd rather stay out of the sun, look to the higher rows on the Duke side.
Sideline Location & Details
Sideline seating runs along both sides of the field between the goal lines. On the east side, sections 3-10 sit behind the visitor bench, with chairback seating available in sections 4-9. On the Duke side of the field are sections 23-30. Within any of these sections, the top rows near row SS put you closest to the concourse.
Views from the Sideline
These are the best views in the stadium, giving you a straight-on look at play between the end zones. The top of each section, near row SS, sits at the best elevation for taking in the whole field, so you can follow the action end to end.
What's Nearby
Concourse Access: Seats at the top of each section near row SS are close to the concourse, with restrooms and concessions within easy reach.
Sun & Shade
The east side (sections 3-10) is known as the sunny side of the field — it's completely exposed to the elements and sits directly in the sun, especially as it sets in the late afternoon. The Duke side offers a bit more relief: while none of its seats are covered, the highest rows of sections 25-28 may be shaded during late-afternoon games.
Seating Notes
- These seats are located behind the visitor sideline
- For Duke games, these seats are on the visitor side of the field
- Recommended seating for kids and family
- Recommended seating for great views of the field
- Desirable view from near midfield
- All seats in this section are stadium-style with backs
