Because the basket is highly distracting, sections behind the basket don't offer the best sitelines - though ticket prices tend to be the most affordable in the lower level. However, better seats can be found in the front rows of the 300s sections for comparable prices.
If you do choose to sit behind the basket, avoid the highest rows in sections 201, 212, 213 and 224. These seats are below the balcony and views can be heavily obstructed.
Lower Sideline Seating
The lower level at University of Dayton Arena is broken up into the 100 and 200 level. For seats running across the sidelines, Row A in the 100s sections is closest to the court. Lettered rows continue until reaching Row K, at which point there is a break before the 200s sections begin.
The 200s sections each contain 16 rows per section, labeled A-P. These are far-and-away the best seats in the arena, given their proximity to the court and their center court views. Choose seats in the highest rows of the 200 level to be closest to the concourse tunnel.
Lower Corner Seating
Corner seating at Dayton Arena is wonderfully angled towards the court and provides comfortable views of the action. The best seats in this zone can be found in 204, 209, 216 and 221 where the basket does not restrict sitelines as much as in other corner sections.
Row A is at the front of each section, while Row K is at the back of the 100s and Row P is at the back of the 200s.
