RYS Expert Reviews
Field Level
(2026 Review) -
Closest to the Action: The Field Level covers all 100-Level sections, putting fans right down near the field for any event.
Row Layout: Most sections run 36 rows, lettered A (closest to the field) through Z, then double-lettered AA to JJ (farthest back).
Sightline Tip (Football): Choose row Q or higher to see over the players standing on the sideline.
Rodeo Action Seats: During the Rodeo the 100-Level extends by eight rows, adding "action seats" that bring fans even closer.
Who Should Sit Here
The Field Level at NRG Stadium is for fans who want to be as close to the action or the show as possible. It works well for football games, the Rodeo, concerts, and just about any event on the field. If proximity matters most to you, this is where you want to be.
Field Level Seating Details
The Field Level is made up of all 100-Level sections at NRG Stadium, wrapping the field at the lowest tier. Most sections contain 36 rows, lettered from A closest to the field up through Z, then continuing with double-lettered rows AA to JJ at the back. Entry tunnels are located at the top of each section, so fans seated closest to the bottom face the longest walk down to their seats. For football, sections 105-108 are positioned behind the home team bench.
Views from the Field Level
These seats deliver a close-up, ground-level view of the action. Keep in mind that from the lower rows near the sideline, players standing on the field can block your view during football games. Sit in row Q or higher to see over the sideline and trade a little proximity for a clearer, more complete look at the field.
Good to Know
If you're attending the Rodeo, look for the "action seats" — the eight extra rows added to the 100-Level during that event put you closer to the floor than standard football seating allows.
Field Level Corner (Basketball)
- Corner seating on the field level will receive a similar transformation as the sideline field level seats, with riser seating put in place closer to the court, followed behind by traditional stadium seats. All numbered rows in these sections are riser-style seats. These seats are not part of the permanent seating bowl at NRG Stadium. Instead, they are temporary sections of seats brought in just for the Final Four. The two biggest differences between these seats and the permanent seats is that the risers (ironically) do not rise as much from row-to-row. So you may be stuck behind a taller fan who blocks your view. Secondly, these risers seats aren't bolted down to the stadium foundation, so they may feel a little flimsy. Never-the-less, these seats still have a chairback and are the closer to the floor than the permanent seating. When considering these corner sections, keep in mind that the stadium was designed to see a football game spread across 100 yards and not a basketball game spanning 94 feet. As such, the angle of some of these corner sections is not ideal for basketball. Sections 102, 103, 110, 111, 122, 123, 131 and 132 have the worst sitelines among these corner sections. Try shooting for a section closer to the sideline (like 104) or go to a deep corner section (like 112 or 113) where you'll have a more comfortable view of the court.
Field Level Corner (Football)
- Field level corner seating is located on the closest tier to the field of play and in between the sidelines and endzones. Comprised of 3 sections in each of the 4 corners of the stadium, fans will experience unique diagonal views of the action and have some of the best views for touchdowns at the near endzone. Most sections in this location contain 36 rows of seating, beginning with single lettered rows closest to the field (Row A being at the front), followed by doubled lettered rows behind (Row JJ located at the very top). Player entry tunnels are located in the northeast and northwest corners, making Sections 112-114 and 119-121 a fun place to be during the pregame entrances.
Seating Notes
- For Texans games, these seats are on the visitor side of the field
- For football games, we recommend rows EE-JJ for outstanding convenience
Seating and Ticket Q&A
Where is the visiting team tunnel at NRG Stadium?
The visiting team enters the field at NRG Stadium in the tunnel between Sections 132 and 133. Being in Rows A-H will have you beside the tunnel, while sitting higher will have you above the tunnel.
Sections 134 and 135 will also give you a great view of the players coming out, and a nice view of the visiting team on the sideline.
