Who Should Sit Here

Reserved seating is ideal for fans who want a guaranteed spot without the uncertainty of general admission. This is a good fit for those who prefer structure and convenience, while still being relatively close to the stage compared to the lawn.

Reserved Seating Location & Layout

Reserved seating at Red Hat Amphitheatre consists of Sections 1–7, all located directly behind the Pit area. A key feature of this layout is the VIP Box seating positioned in the middle, which splits the reserved sections into a front half (Sections 1–3) and a rear half (Sections 4–7).

Unlike many amphitheaters, the venue is not tiered and has no overhead cover, meaning all seats are on a similar level and fully exposed to weather conditions. This makes both row selection and crowd behavior important factors in the overall experience.

Front Reserved (Sections 13)

Sections 13 offer the closest reserved seating to the stage and are often the most in-demand outside of the Pit.

These sections use temporary folding chairs rather than fixed stadium seating. Because the seats are not permanently installed, this area is highly flexible and may be reconfigured depending on the show. For some events, it can become a General Admission Pit or full GA Floor, replacing the seated layout entirely.

When seated, these sections provide an up-close experience, but sightlines can be impacted if fans in front choose to stand.

Rear Reserved (Sections 47)

Sections 47 are located just behind the VIP Boxes and offer a more traditional seating experience.

These sections feature permanent stadium-style seats with armrests, providing more structure and comfort compared to the front sections. However, because the venue is relatively flat, they sit at a similar height to the front reserved sections.

For this reason, fans — especially those concerned about visibility — should aim for rows closer to the front of these sections to avoid sightline issues.

Sections 4 and 7, located on the outer edges, are also the closest to restrooms and concessions, which can be convenient but may come with slightly more foot traffic.

Views from Reserved Seating

Views in reserved seating can vary depending on section and row, but the flat layout of the venue plays a major role.

Sections closer to the stage (1–3) offer better proximity, while Sections 4–7 provide a more comfortable and structured seating experience. Across all sections, being closer to the front and more centered will generally provide the best overall view.

Other Considerations

  • All reserved seating is uncovered, so weather can impact the experience

  • The flat layout means sightlines can be affected by standing fans

  • Front sections offer proximity but less comfort; rear sections offer comfort but require better row selection

  • Choosing a center section and front row within that section will typically yield the best results

Great view, lots of space with a wide aisle directly in front of it. To the right of the stage but close to the bar and bathrooms.
