North Upper Deck at Neyland Stadium

• Social Deck Space: A newer, open hangout area for Tennessee football fans who prefer to roam rather than sit in one spot.
• Sections Replaced: Built over section YY8 and parts of YY7 and YY9 in the north upper deck.
• Private Concourse: Comes with exclusive concessions, a central outdoor bar with TVs, and drink rails overlooking the field.
• General Admission: All tickets are un-reserved and first-come, first-serve — arrive early to claim the best spots.
• Below Average Views: Views are distant and behind the endzone, among the least ideal sightlines in the stadium.

Who Should Sit Here

The North Upper Deck at Neyland Stadium is for fans who care more about the atmosphere than the sightline. If you like a social, standing-friendly space where you can move around, grab a drink, and watch the game on TVs or from a drink rail, this is your spot. It's a solid pick for groups and anyone who doesn't want to be locked into a single assigned seat.

North Upper Deck Location & Details

The Deck sits in the north upper level, replacing section YY8 and portions of sections YY7 and YY9. It functions as its own private concourse with unreserved seating plus standing areas. Because everything is general admission and first-come, first-serve, getting there early is the best way to secure a good spot.

Views from the North Upper Deck

Views are distant and positioned behind the endzone, and they rank among the worst sightlines in the venue. The tradeoff is the space itself — a relaxed, social hangout rather than a place chosen for the on-field view. Drink rails and standing areas offer looks at the field, but expect a far-off vantage point.

Amenities & Perks

• Exclusive concessions
• Central outdoor bar space with televisions
• Un-reserved seating
• Standing areas and drink rails with views of the field

Good to Know

Since seats and standing spaces are all first-come, first-serve, arriving early is the key to grabbing a prime drink rail or bar spot before the crowd fills in.
