Best Seats For a Concert at Ford Field
The most common seating layout at Ford Field for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 100, Section 101 and Section 102. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: Sections Field A, Field B, Field C and Field D are Field Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 104, Section 105 and Section 128. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 114, Section 115, Section 116 and Section 117 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 100, Section 101, Section 102 and Section 131. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 109 and 124 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 332 and 333.

200 Level Mezzanine seating is located on the second tier from the playing surface behind both endzones, and in the two north side corners. This location offers good viewing height from the second tier, and smaller sections for more convenient in and out to concessions and restrooms.
Although adjacent to the club sections and located on the same tier, fans will not have any additional amenities when sitting in the 200 Level Mezzanine sections. However the excellent views and small seating layouts make these seats a very good choice for a football game at Ford Field.
300 Level Corner (Football) Seating
300 Level Corner seating is located on the highest tier of Ford Field, between the goal lines and endzones. Furthest proximity to the field of any of the levels, viewing may not be best as the ball moves toward the far end of the field, but offers good viewing of scoring opportunities at the near endzone.
300 Level Corner Seating is comprised of 8 sections, with 4 sections in the northwest corner and 4 in the north east corner (no corner seating on the south side of the field). With the views being some of the least desirable, this area is a good place to search for cheap football tickets at Ford Field.
300 Level Endzone (Football) Seating
Located on the highest tier from the playing field and behind the endzones, the 300 level enzone sections won't have the best views in the house, but often come with one of the more affordable price tags. Proximity to the field becomes a concern as the play moves to the far endzone, but fans will get a good look at scoring plays at the near goal line.
This seating location consists of 7 sections in the west endzone (341-347) and 7 sections in the east endzone (315-321).
300 Level Sideline (Football) Seating
Located on the highest tier from the playing field running along the sideline of the north side of Ford Field. Furthest proximity from the field of any of the seating locations, but located near mid field for good sight lines to both sides of the field. No 50 yard line seating is available in the 300 Level Sideline location as this location is reserved for the 300 Level Club seats.
Lower Level Corner (Football) Seating
Between the sidelines and endzones on the lowest tier of Ford Field is the Lower Level Corner Seating. Unique diagonal views from these lowest level seats provide a great view of scoring opportunities and the goal lines.
Each corner of the field features 3 sections of Lower Level Corner seating, where fans will have up to 42 rows of seats to choose from. With the entry tunnels located at the top of the sections and better viewing heights in the back half, we recommend opting for seats in Rows 30 and higher for the best all around experience.
Lower Level Endzone (Football) Seating
View the field just as the players do from the Lower Level Endzone. Located on the closest tier to the playing surface and behind the goal posts, fans can watch the action from behind and in front of the line of scrimmage. Comprised of 6 sections behind the west endzone (135-140) and 6 sections behind the east endzone (114-119), the Lower Level Endzone will provide great proximity to the field and excellent viewing for all fans.
Each section in the Lower Level Endzone features 42 rows of seating with handicap accessible options located at the very top. Entry tunnels are just beyond the last row, so while fans at the front will have exciting views, they will also have a lengthy walk down to the seats.
Lower Level Sideline (Football) Seating
Located along the sidelines and on the lowest tier of Ford Field is the Lower Level Sideline seating area. Running from goal line to goal line, these sections offer some of the best sight lines in the stadium and keep fans as close to the action as possible. Fans can sit behind the home team bench in sections 104-108, while Sections 125-129 on the north side will keep you behind the visiting team bench.
Sections in this area have up to 42 rows of seating, with handicap accessible seating located near the top of most sections. As the entry tunnels are also located at the top of the sections, this leaves the longest walk to the seats for fans in the closest rows.
